The upgrade is to our server itself - not the Site lol. So no, there sadly will be no new features.
But the upgrade will allow our server to perform better under heavy load and to prevent it from being overloaded so easily. It won't be a cure-all, as the bulk of the issue still lies with sluggish coding, but it will certainly help to improve the situation.

Reduced lag? I'm in, considering how bogged down the server gets during festivals! Also, a better server, in the long run, means eventually being able to handle a larger community without as much lag. ^.^
