Ravenfur

Ravenfur came to a complete stop now nose up in the air, the scent stronger than before and her fur began to rise slightly in unease as she looked at her clanmates. Worried she was losing her whiskers.

"Do you guys smell that?" She asked worried, she didn't want to assume if it wasn't a huge deal.

One of her fellows, a tom, meowed, "I smell it too."

Ravenfur

Her tail flicked uneasily as she looked ahead nose still twitching as she tried to pinpoint what the scent was from.

"Do anyone recognize it...?" She asked doubting her tracker skills a bit, her sentences remained little and to the point. She had no ide what this scent was and was determined to figure it out.

"It smells like ShadowClan," a she-cat growled.

Meanwhile, Terror was about to move on.

Jumping in on the dawn patrol if that's ok - just tell me if not

Crowfire
Crowfire had not been happy to get assigned to dawn patrol - why would any cat ever get up this early? The first half of the patrol had been boring and she stayed at the back, still mostly asleep, letting Ravenfur and the tom do most of the work.

A strange scent was much more exciting though and her ears pricked with interest - this is what she became a warrior for! Crowfire couldn't tell exactly what the scent was but she was hardly going to let the chance for some excitement slip through her claws.

"If it is Shadowclan, lets give them a little surprise to remind them where the border is." She grinned at the rest of her patrol, lowering into a crouch and stalking towards the scent as quietly as she could.


Moonpaw
Moonpaw jolted awake in her nest, still unused to the emptiness of the apprentice den after six moons of sleeping pressed against her mother's reassuring pelt. There were a few older apprentices but it still felt very lonely. As a kit she had always had her sister to play with, so she never got to know any of the other cats very well.

The others were already heading out to find their mentors so Moonpaw hurried to join them. It was a lot of pressure being Shadowstar's apprentice. Did he expect her to be early? Or maybe she shouldn't bother him until the patrols were done? She had rushed out this morning - was she groomed enough? The last thing she needed was to embarrass the leader in front of his whole clan.

(Since Crowfire and Ravenfur are in the same place, I'm going to wait for Toothless to reply before things actually pick up.)

Shadowstar
Shadowstar padded up behind Moonpaw, and said, "Good morning, Moonpaw. It's good to see you got up early! Come on, time to show you the territories."

(And unlike me, Shadowstar actually planned ahead and got the patrols sorted the previous night.)

Moonpaw
Moonpaw was hovering around the edges of camp, scanning the group of cats clustered around Clanrock for Shadowstar when she heard her mentor's voice behind her. Moonpaw jumped about a foot in the air, fur spiked out in alarm before she realized who was talking to her.

She licked her pelt a few times, embarrassed and trying to collect herself, before responding. "G-good morning, Shadowstar. Are we going to the Thunderclan border?" She sent of a quick prayer to Starclan that was what he meant. Thunderclan cats would respect the warrior code but she really did not want to encounter rogues on any of the other borders.

Shadowstar
Shadowstar said, "We'll be walking the entirety of the ThunderClan and WindClan borders. We'll be getting back late, and I promise your nest will feel as soft as your mother's belly when you get back, you'll be so tired."

Moonpaw
That didn't sound so bad. And she'd be safe with Shadowstar - even a rogue wouldn't attack a clan leader right? And she'd always wanted to learn more about the other clans. This was starting to sound exciting!

"Let's go!"

Shadowstar lead Moonpaw out of camp toward Twolegplace, starting alongside the fences.
