Recorded! How many vis would you like your baby to have? :D

Also, this was a little unintentional, but I found him a girl. :P

I'd want at least faded wings and regalia vis (2v), but the Nephini isn't the same GP. >< but I do like wings. And regalia there. It was tough to see quagga. x:

Haha, don't worry about the GP! He's got terrific breeding potential. ;D And quagga can only be seen well when the image is enlarged. :S

Anyway, I'm getting antsy waiting for my Griffis to grow up. I think I should start a new project. Do you know how many generated pets would be needed to create a 4-vis? I'm trying to decide between this or this. Are the flowered vines a little too much?

Oooh. o: Then...I guess, gender no prefs, 2vis wings and regalia, and the 3rd trait can or can't be there. c:

xD I don't like starting projects just because of antsy-ness. I've been around long enough to not get that feeling anymore. /has waves of eggs here there and everywhere

4vis would at least need 2 enhanced/myth essences. Some people try 4carry x 4carry. That's a lot of ballsy luck though.
I'd say anywhere between 2-4 enh/myth essences. First two to get the offspring going on, then the extra essences to be mates or make mates for the offspring.

4 carry x 4 carry seems like a remarkably inefficient way to do things, but at the same time 4 enhanced/mythical essences is kind of expensive. I just did a breeding chart, and it seems that if I use 3 I can get the job done whereas if I use 4 I can achieve 2 breeding pairs (half-siblings can be bred together right?).

And what do you think of the nephini? Should they have the flowered vines or not?

uh idk if half siblings can go together.
I know for a fact that if they share mom or dad, it's a no. xD

I'm not too fond of the nephini's colors, so I don't like having input. ;u;
It's more like 'extra work' to include another trait.

Plus, since I'm a wild breeder, I don't really see anything new with this design other than the Faded Glow. Most of those genes and mutation, you can find carried in nephini offspring being sold in various places, redye those, and end up saving essences. You can use essences in that case to make mates for the redyed offspring that carry all the things needed, and make your end result that way.
Does that make sense?

Hmm, I'm not completely sure about this, but I heard that as long as they don't have the exact same parents it can be done?

Ah, okay. :U
It really is extra work, 2-vis and 3-vis are so easy to figure out in comparison. :/

I think I get it, you're saying find Nephini with the desired traits and dye them, then use essences to 'bring in' the rest of the desired traits right?

I honestly would ask a breeding pro about it. xD; Amirell, Darkwingedangel, and Bella1988 are breeding pros compared to me. ;w;

My first realization as a person who doesn't like project-making is that it's much easier to just breed wildly, fall in love with the genes and mutations where they lie, and redye them into pretty things, than start out in the very beginning. In my head, it worked well. That's why most of my nephinis have questionable colors, and some that work (unless I bought them). c: They were bred for traits in mind, not the colors. Colors can come last.

Pretty much, yeah. I'm not sure which traits you have in your colorful starburst candy nephini (they remind me of starburst!), but it seems like the only "new" trait you have to bring in is the Faded Glow. The leopard, flowered vines, and fairy shimmer are particularly old and more dominant, so you can go fishing for offspring that carry them all, and breed those.
(You don't have to dye them now. You can dye them after you get all your visibles in place. Saves dyes, in a way.)
