(Pffft the first words I said about him were "Slash: Slightly murderous psychopathic fairy boy, secretly actually a traumatized sweetheart who hurts/kills out of fear." I guess you didn't realize how well he hides his sweet heart, eh? ^^)

Slash grins right back. It's no less of a threat than Warren's mock-smile. "When I escape," he corrects. "You wouldn't be CLOSE to the first person to die from that assumption. You're just not very special, hm?"

He snickers gleefully as Warren goes on. "Well if you wanna die so bad, why don't you just come in here? I'll put you out of your misery real quick!" He snaps on the last word, and a few glowing sparks fly from his fingertips. They're a similar golden orange to his skin, and they fade out before they reach the floor. There's no doubt. That was magic.

"You don't have any clue what I'm capable of. Do you really think I've killed so many by just goin' at 'em with my teeth and nails? You humans are all the same. Haughty and stupid. You should learn some humility in the face of a monster, it might save your life. Well, not anymore. But maybe it could've." He gazes around the room curiously. He's shoved every bit of fear and panic from his mind, having determined to feign perfect confidence and control of his situation. He huffs and adds one more backhanded comment for good measure.

"You started with telling me you were gonna ask questions. Are you so dumb you forgot those questions? Pretty sure you haven't asked one."

(To be fair, that includes slightly, which implies that he's only done a few? But yeah, I expected the sweet heart to be a lot closer to the surface, though I'm certainly not complaining. :D
Writing characters antagonizing each other is so much fun, haha.)

Dilated pupils snap towards the embers of orange, shrinking at the sudden burst of light.
For a moment, Warren looks apprehensive, almost fearful, as he waits, staring at afterimages of magic lingering in the center of his vision. His dark eyes hang onto open air where power flared to live a second prior before he gives a slow blink they trace their way up the paths on the other's arms.

His anger seems to be forgotten in the face of wonder. A cobra charmed by the trill of a flute; a scientist entranced by the throes of obsession.
The drone of the snake charmer's voice blurs in the face of his fixation, and Warren watches the other's graceful pacing. A sharp pivot on the heel, a derisive wave of the hand, a sudden inhale of breath as curled lips move.

Move and jerk Warren halfway out of his sanctuary.

His hands slide into the pockets of his lab coat and his head tips as he processes the other's words. "Not questions," he corrects absent-mindedly. "Rules."
"Anomalies are asked to follow scientist's instructions when given and allow lab personnel to accomplish their work without interrupting them or their access to the exit, in addition to staying in their rooms when the premises go on lockdown," he says. "In exchange, we provide all hospitalities as needed: food, water, hygiene, special requests."

For once, his accent is unaggressive, more audible than usual as it weaves with his mild timbre, the majority of his mind still preoccupied with analyzing potential applications of the other's magic.

(Okay okayyy, I do tend to under-exaggerate things sometimes hehe ^^ but a few is closer to the truth anyway. I don't have an exact number, but it's <30. He just likes to say hundreds for shock/intimidation!)

Slash easily notices the supposed researcher's entranced wonder, and he eyes roll in turn. "Have you seriously never seen magic before? You've gotta be the stupidest smart guy ever. Take the lab coat off already, you're not fooling me anymore."

The boy hardly listens. In fact, he mocks Warren by holding his hand up like a babbling puppet while he speaks. "Yeah yeah, fat chance. I've got a 'special request' for you, get me Blade, eh? She'll take care of you real quick. You humans are awful, you know that? Annoying and useless at best. Wish you would just leave us alone for once..."

He sighs darkly, a mix of annoyance and true sadness in the breath. He moves to the bed, lies down on it, and stares up at the ceiling. "So is this where you're gonna try to keep me? Like some kinda prisoner? Jeez, you could at least give me a soft blanket. This bed is trash." At this point, it's clear that he's just talking for the sake of talking. He knows that the moment he lets himself think, he'll likely break down yet again.

(I can't blame him, I'd be exaggerating too if I got kidnapped. Well, maybe not, but I suppose Slash can't get any more worried about Warren just deciding to dispose of him in some random river. :p
How'd he meet Blade?)

The cobra's hood flares. It's forked tongue flicks out in an assessment of predator or prey. It strikes in a blur of brown and a starburst of pain.
Hands lift from pockets to spread across the control panel. A flash of pink darts across dry lips; definitely prey. A now-wettened mouth parts, Warren's sigh echoing even as he delivers a double dose of venom.

"Most SCPs don't give a warning, fifty-four eight-two. You see their power." A snap of long fingers, "You die. Quick, painful, and certain to haunt you in the afterlife; hardly conducive for research. You on the other hand." He shrugs. His pen flashes, clipboard tipped away as he narrates, "Magic present but unthreatening, a pretty light source. Possible use as renewable energy?"

He reads slow and writes fast. Something as uninformative as that doesn't belong on a SCP info sheet, but the other doesn't need to know that.

Strong dislike for being referred to by serial number. Suggested title: Slash.
Portal wasn't its doing.
Abilities unknown, but inclined towards extreme violence. Was subdued by a pair of Nine-Tailed Foxes, physical ability likely relatively low. Magic appears bright orange, may require focus. Details unknown, but not hypnotizing or immediately threatening to observers.

His writing finished, Warren broadcasts a call for assistants with a push of a button. "Amenities to 93," he says, because if the other is calling this a prison, then he's certainly going to derive his dues from ignoring it.
The scientist leans into the mike, more for dramatic effect than sound quality. "And bring a blanket, would you? The SCP's cold."

(Uhhhhhh funny thiiiiiing- I haven't decided that yet ^^' the two were originally part of a DID system actually! But once the hyperfixation passed (do not recommend hyperfixating on a mental disorder btw, it tends to not be much fun :') ) I wanted to build up their individual characters, so I scrapped the system. This is actually the first rp I've done with a fully independent Slash! So I'm gonna say, I'll decide that when/if it comes up in rp :)
also "not hypnotizing" uh huh sure Warren, this "snake charmer" analogy would disagree with that =.=)

Slash scoffs cynically. "Thanks for the tips. Next time I use magic, I'll be sure to kill someone, 'kay? And don't even try harnessing magic like electricity. That's like trying to harness the electric signals in a human brain. You'll just waste your time and make me hate you even more."

He's silent for a moment, not even looking at Warren again. He's had more than enough of that infuriating face. "I'm a monster. Not a SCP. Whatever that's supposed to mean." With a chuckle, he adds, "On second thought, go ahead and come in here and try to use my magic. If you're gonna kidnap and imprison me you could at least be interesting with it. I wanna see how you'd even try. Where do you think it comes from, eh? My hands? My head? Go on, take a guess." A teasing grin curls onto his thin lips, though he still doesn't turn to meet the eyes of the other.

(I relate to not having set backstories so hard :,) I also reuse characters, and then I just have vague vibes when someone asks, because they're created for a different world and I haven't figured out the details yet. Also, Warren is weird. The other scientists aren't, well they are, but they're weird in a different way. My guy and his hypnotized reaction are special. :^
Also I edited my last post to make it so Slash isn't looking haha.)

Idly, Warren wonders if the other knows that there is, in fact, research on harnessing human brain impulses. There's even been experimental success in using them to let the paralyzed walk, though the research is just that: experimental.
Instead, he says, "Electric eels can be used to produce power, but they're unable to be used as generators because they only produce 600 volts. Given that you think your magic can kill, I wouldn't expect that to be an issue."

A screen set in the console flickers to life, informing him that the message has been received and that his request is being processed. The scientist notes this with his peripheral vision. For all that the other is determined to avoid facing him, Warren carries none of the same reservation.

"For your purpose," he informs the other, "SCP, Anomaly, and can be used interchangeably." It's an easy inference, but it's also rude to leave someone so terribly uninformed.

For these same reasons, politeness and a fair share of malice, Warren informs the other of his thought process. "An alternative organ. I'd hypothesize that its location is in the abdominal cavity, or perhaps it takes the place of the appendix, given that it provides no use in the human body."
Though, that raises the question of how anatomically similar the Anomaly is to a human, for all that it lacks the ethics and morals of one.

The delivery arrives as he's musing on this thought, and Warren nods at the employee to enter to first set of reinforced doors.

(Yeahhhhh you get it then :) and yeah yeah, but Warren was the one hypnotized, then said not hypnotic sooo... stickin with he's a liar ,:) )

Slash only scoffs at being likened to an eel. "So you think I'm an animal? You are so amazingly brainless... mon-ster," he corrects slowly, as if teaching Warren the very word. "Dunno what that stands for, and I'm not an anomaly. Actually my race is pretty common."

"You say that like I've got organs," he muses. "Someone like you would never be able to understand a monster. Way too closed-minded, focused on your own benefit, and... oh, and stupid." He sticks his tongue out to mock the human.

The moment his thin pupils--or are they irises?--catch the approaching employee, he sits up. His eyes widen. His ears perk. His hands tense and twitch. A few pinprick-tiny sparks flitter across his fingers. He truly looks like a beast preparing an ambush, as if he's entirely forgotten of Warren's presence and watchful eye.

(I mean, I can't deny that, we all know Warren's a liar hehe. It's part of who he is. It's a good thing Slash understands that part of him.)

Another smirk manifests in the quirk of his lips at the other's insults.
They imply something interesting -- resuscitated flesh moving despite cold, still veins; a vessel dancing a marionette's supernatural strings -- and Warren wonders why the other seems to think a solid scientific foundation would inhibit his efforts. Close-minded and stupid, they're insults meant to help overcome the shock of the situation, but they're also insults that the Anomaly seems to believe.
Yet magic is more than the absence of logic. It is not logic's antithesis; merely a statute for which the rules have yet to be discovered.

Warren does not say this, but his conviction is clear in the straight set of his shoulders and the confident jut of his chin. Magic is merely another branch of science, and he will be the one to unravel it. Arrogant that might be, but the SCP Foundation employs the brightest minds, and hubris has always been the flaw of the best.

It seems like presumption is a trait the other shares, with those twitching fingers and too-sharp eyes.
"Hands to yourself, please," he calls out as the door opens.

The other employee steps inside, quickly dropping the bundle off before scurrying towards safety as fast as possible while Warren watches. Another set of doors serves as a layer of protection, but his hand remains hovered over emergency lockdown. Of course, the doors breaking would automatically trigger the alarm, lock the doors, and release sedatives, but who knows, maybe the other is planning on revealing on of his interesting tricks.

The inner door opens early.

Slash hardly even hears Warren's words. Even if he did, he doesn't have the slightest care for the wants of such a nuisance.

The very second that inner door is open, he's on his feet, flashing across the space until he's on the employee like a clinging parasite. He's quite light, even for his size, only enough to put them off balance but not tackle them down. He attacks viciously, his hands scratching at their shoulder, his feet scraping their side, and his sharp teeth biting and ripping at their throat.

As he mauls them like a badger defending her nest, a golden liquid begins to secrete from his eyes, mouth, and under his nails. It looks quite like a thin honey, but the moment it touches the employee's clothes it burns right through the fabric, leaving only thin trails of smoke behind. And if it touches skin, oh it's agonizing. It's like the burning of the hottest chilis, but this time there's no comfort in knowing that the sensation is false. And there certainly isn't any milk available.

(haha I hope you weren't attached to this random employeeeee- I'll leave it up to you to decide the full extent of his attack, but know that if allowed to, he will kill them :) oh and by the way, his feet are bare! Just cause he does usually use all of his nails as a weapon. Oooo it would be kind of aesthetic kind of traumatizing if they like, wrapped his hands and feet up and literally muzzled him to stop him from getting his acid on people. Now I kinda wanna draw that :0...)

(The random doesn't have a name, I can't be attached ;0; Also, if you ever draw that, I would love to see it because it really does sound aesthetic. Especially a bit less perfect set that you could kinda see acid dripping out of?)

Warren slams a series of buttons on the console in sequence of movements--partial-breach, security, medics--that send the chamber into lockdown, causing it both sets of doors to drop shut before releasing a strange-smelling gas with a soft hiss.

The scientist feels his stomach drop as the gas starts to take its toll. But the liquid gold keeps burning, keeps dripping even as crimson mixes and melds.

Warren raps his fingers against the reinforced glass.
"Do you like the taste of blood?" he asks, voice steady from experience. Disdain hides a plea to turn, to let the assistant underneath the other steal one moment of reprieve. This isn't a rare occurrence, but he refuses to let one of his employees go without a fight.

If he can keep her blood flowing, this can still be saved.

The emergency response team files in, and Warren watches with baited breath.
