I think the second researcher would be more fun!! I love just slightly evil/misled characters :) Ooo what if Slash teaches him that he's just as "human" as actual humans in the sentient, moral, and intelligent sense, then the researcher kinda returns the favor by listening to his trauma and maybe even helping him escape!
So, I'm definitely more into the darker, malicious tests, but in that idea they would kinda transition into more innocent prods, then nearly normal conversations.
I could also definitely pull a "uh oh someone's magic got out of control and opened a portal between multiverses, now Undertale monsters are falling into the SCP world oh noooo" as an explanation for how they'd GET there. In that case we could start with some guards dragging Slash into the building (as he fights tooth and nail) after they've discovered the portal. Then I could also include or switch to Riptide later! Or any of my way too many other Undertale OCs :D I am, a little bit obsessed.

Yes, i'd love to do that! I was going to suggest something similar if you hadn't. My guy has a lot of issues, but they definitely don't include purposely experimenting on beings that are both sentient and against killing humans (possible abuse themes there, but I can also remove those). He'd probably feel sick once he starts getting hints of that and drive himself mad trying to find prove that it's not true because he really, really believes in his work, before having a breakdown once he has to confront what he's doing.
And that mix of darker experiments with the more innocent ones (maybe testing sentience/emotions/mental state?) is going to be sooo good, though the researcher might regress to the darker ones to try and provoke an angry response while he's in denial.
I can definitely relate to fandom obsession haha, and I'm excited to learn more about Undertale. Do you have any headcannons or references you want to see, or maybe any fic recommendations? Gotta study, and I'm 100% That Guy who reads fanfic before actually touching the source material. :^

This would sound awful out of context but I am all good with the abuse themes ^^ most of my characters have some sort of abuse in their past actually- But I LOVE all of those ideas!!!
Have you never heard of it before? Usually I get a response along the lines of "oh you're an Undertale fan" or "multiverse? oh you're an AU fan" cause my fandom and sub-fandom get a bad rap most of the time :') Anyway! I could send you a PM with the basics of the world mechanics if you want! That's really all that matters in reference to my characters. But I can definitely recommend some stories and AUs to check out :) good ones to start with are actually ATs (alternate timelines) because they're the least out-there from the original and tend to explain things more. My all time favorite is Handplates, which is a few hours' worth of comic dubs with lovely art and wonderful voice acting.
Anyway, I could ramble on for days about Undertale, so that's probably better suited for PMs so I don't clutter up the forum. Feel free to ask me literally anything about anything, and I'll see you on that thread :D

Either way, I'd love to write with you. I'll have to elaborate on the demon kidnapping angel plot, which I've just changed to this:
"a) an angel is kidnapped by a demon and awakens with their wounds bandaged and scars healed."

Are there any plots that you're interested in more than the others, or should I spit out some more information to help us decide? They're all mine, so I love all of them. Though some of them might be favorite children. :^

Okay, thank you! Here's your expanded plot menu. :D
Feel free to take your time, because whew that's a lot.
For the kidnapped by a demonic medic plot, I was thinking that the demon say that the angel was injured and decided, nah, that's not okay. The angel learning about demon society, helping the demon become a better person, and fight the demon's enemies could be fun.
For the amnesic angel, I think that them developing a relationship so that the angel chooses to stay once they find out about themself could be fun. Maybe the demon knows and has been trying to manipulate/corrupt them, or maybe the demon also doesn't know, found them skilled, and slowly let them into their inner circle. Then, everything crashes and burns when they find out, and they feel almost betrayed. Bonus points if the angel actually gets involved through the demon's personal matters, like helping their kid or something.
For the mob boss x villain, I was thinking that the mob boss's organization was well-established in the city and that the villain was a newcomer breaking into the scene. And break in they do, with the two's first meeting being inside of the gangster's house. Their relationship is built on benefit, with the two housing a mutual distrust/dislike of each other that leads to constant attempts to throw the other under the bus.
For human/supernatural, I like the idea of the human getting caught up in small town paranormal activity. For civvie/not civvie, I find the idea of not-civvie getting dragged into the normal's antics hilarious. They're famous/can drop several bodies in a fight, but somehow their flat mate is the one who's attracting trouble and they have to deal with it!
Trapped in a game is based on SAO. Just seeing someone's habits/mindset change seems interesting, thrown in with getting to come up with a nice of mechanics as well. And for when they get out, having them realize they've changed out of game is even better, especially if they're thrown into another situation where they shouldn't be able to fight and they do. The last part could be its own roleplay haha.
For skilled players, I find the idea of gaming buddies hanging out super fluffy? Like, they show each other things they've found or exchange tips for improvement with each other. One or both of them being streamers/pros and mentioning their friend and inviting them to play could be fun to. Not sure if it'd be FPS, MMO, or LoL related.

How about we go with trapped in a game then? I find it easier to brainstorm ideas for, though the other one is compelling enough that I'll switch to it if you want to toss me some plot or character ideas. :>
for the game, how do you feel about a fantasy MMO, or would you like to change parts of it? alternatively, do you have any cool character ideas that could use some lore nudges.
