The professor smiled. *Ill focus on chimchar then*

The young professor lead the group to where the three Pokmon were hiding. Chimchar had made its way into a tree while bulbasaur was hiding in some bushes and mudkip was in a small pond.

Something about wielding the pokeball felt so natural to Bea. She watched mudkip for a while before approaching, trying to note its characteristics and behaviors before getting closer. When she approached, she noted the hesitance of the mudkip, and didnt immediately chase it as it ran away from her.

Instead, the waited patiently, waiting for it to calm down and get distracted by the water before she took aim and threw the ball. It shook a few times before clicking and making a popping sound, signaling she had caught it.

*Good work, Bea* He thanked her, holding out a hand to take the mudkip back. Bea nodded and handed the ball over, a little disappointed she didnt get to spend more time with the little guy

She tossed the pokeball at Bulbasaur.

(you can feel free to rp Reiyn interacting with Bri too, he's an npc for both of us to use)

"Thanks for your help you two, I'm sure you'll have no problem staying in the village, I'll talk to the captain about you two joining the-" Another loud sound came from the nearby woods and a scolipede suddenly came bursting through the shrubbery, roaring before starting to lunge towards the three humans.

"Shoot- okay, we gotta get out of here, quick, go-" Before the professor could finish barking out his orders, something struck the scolipede.

"Professor Malabi, I've warned you about going out without the guard, what would you have done if I didn't find you!" A young boy around the same age as Bea and Brianna burst through the clearing, shouting another command to his fraxure. The Fraxure and scolipede threw attacks back and forth, the trainer also dodging attacks alongside his partner before the scolipede finally fled, leaving the humans alone now.

The boy with the fraxure put his hands on his hips, glaring at the now nervous professor. "Hey... Kenji, really appreciate the help, I knew I could always count on you to save the day" Reiyn grinned sheepishly. Kenji looked unconvinced. "Wait wait wait, before you say anything- look! This is Brianna and Bea, they were what fell out of the space-time rift"

This piqued Kenji's interest. "Them...? Did they... come from a different time?" Kenji asked, looking up and down the two girls. "Whatever the case, we can finish talking back at the village where it's safe, and you're not completely off the hook professor, I'll lecture you later"

She looked over, nervous. *what Villiage?*

Kenji was about to meet Bris confusion with his own confusion before Reiyn stepped in *Abhail village, its the only settlement on the hyoga region at the moment* He waved a dismissive hand at Kenji. *Theyre gonna have a lot of questions, remember they dont know anything of this place* he reminded the boy.

*Sorry about Kenji, ladies, hes my lab assistant helping me with what I call the pokedex, its like a guide to all Pokmon in the region, so we can keep notes on all of them.* The professor explained.

*The pokedex Ive heard of that before, where Im from, researchers and assistants all have them* Bea recalled, much to the astonishment of Reiyn and Kenji.

*Thats impossible! Were still making it, how could you* Kenji trailed off. *How do we know you arent lying just to make us trust you* He suddenly accused.

*I I dont know, Im sorry! I cant remember much about where Im from, but I promise its the truth, the pokedex is a small electronic device that tells you about whatever Pokmon it sees, it can also-*

*Electronic? Whats that? Is it a Pokmon?* Reiyn interrupted. Bea hesitated, trying to think of how to explain it and glanced at Bri for a little support, hoping she might be able to add on

Bri thought for a moment before saying, *i have it too. its a small red... contraption made of internal wiring, gears, circuit boards, a screen, and other things you probably dont know about that fits in your hand. think of it like a non-sentient bunch of tiny Klinks, some coppers strands covered in rubber, small plastic plates that contain the ability to gain and retain information about Pokemon you find, and a glass or plastic cover to allow you to see the visuals of Pokemon and information about it. although, sometimes its powered by a pokemon called a Rotom going inside of it. the Rotom wont be able to battle unless it leaves the device, but it will be able to speak!* she then looked around, saying, *so... do we wanna go back before something bad happens?*

(hey, im curious. do we want Shiny pokemon? cuz i would like one for my team :D)

Professor Reiyn's eyes opened wide. "Fascinating" he murmured.

"You really must be from the future, I don't think anyone would be able to make up anything that insane" Kenji said. "That being said... you two are strangers with no origins here, the people in abhail village probably won't be too quick to trust you, especially since the space-time rift you two came from has been giving us so much trouble recently" He explained

"Regardless of that, we really should head to the village, I'll lead the way" Reiyn offered.

The group traveled in relative silence, with only the occasional bickering from Kenji and Reiyn or one of them offering information about the survey corps and exploration team until they came across a large gate with some people in odd uniforms stationed out front.



"Here we are! home sweet home" Professor Malabi gestured widely with his one arm and cane while Kenji went ahead and spoke to the guards. The guards looked at the two oddly dressed newcomers, but still opened the gate, allowing the party inside.

"Our first order of business here will be having a word with Captain Haylee and Commander Kengen. Since there isn't really anywhere else for you to go, having you two join the survey corps would be the safest way for you two to be ensured a way to stay here" He lead the two to a large building- easily the largest and fanciest of all the buildings in the village. When they reached the front door, the professor paused again.

"You should take these, I think showing the captain that you're good with pokemon will make you look better" Reiyn explained as he handed over two pokeballs- one to each girl. "I think you already know what's gonna be in there, you can let them out if you want, we aren't in the residential area, so most people here won't be too freaked out by seeing pokemon here, especially since most people here have their own partners" Reiyn explained.

she smiled and let out her Bulbasaur. when it came out, she crouched and pet it happily. *hey, buddy!*

(awesome! can i also control my own Pokemon, for convinence sake? lastly, whats the moveset? the pokedex for BDSP says that by level 5 its got Tackle, Growl, and Vine Whip, so is that it?)

(Yeah, the Pokmon is all yours to control, you can basically control anyone/thing that isnt me or my Pokmon, as for the move set you can just make it up as long as it makes sense)

Bea let her mudkip out of its ball. Its little fins flicked a little as it looked around.

*Hey there lil guy, arent you just the cutest thing?* She smiled at it, squatting down to be closer to it. *weve got a big day ahead of us, so lets be friends, okay?* she said softly, holding a hand out for the mudkip to sniff before she pet its slippery head softly. After it seemed comfortable, she gently picked it up, holding the mudkip in her arms.

*Great, now that youre acquainted, we should go meet captain Haylee. Shes in charge of the survey corps, so try to make a good impression.* The professor gave a stiff smile. *She can be a bit intimidating at times* he warned.

He led the two through the building to the second floor where an office door was open. Reiyn took a nervous breath before stepping inside.

*Heyyy captain, remember how we saw something falling from the space time rift? Well, me and Kenji went to investigate and-*

*let me cut you off there. You and Kenji did not investigate. You ALONE went to investigate directly after I told you we were going to send a team out. I was the one who sent Kenji after you so you would get KILLED* a hand could be heard slamming on a desk. *You better have a good reason for acting out as you did or-*

*Haylee please, Im sorry! But I had a perfectly good reason, because look what we found!* The professor defended himself, then gestured to the doorway. Kenji gave the two a gentle push towards the office.

*thats your cue, go make a good impression* He whispered

(with all due respect, i would like to keep it a prp. having multiple people in an RP triggers my anxiety, and id rather not explain more. however, im sure they would be happy RPing with you and other people!)

Bri walked in quietly, smiling a bit. *hello. im Brianna, or Bri for short. you see, me and Bea,* she gestured to the other girl next to her, *we fell from the time rift. shes from Unova, and im from Galar, likely from the future. were missing most of our memories, and we dont know if we can go home. however, i can prove that all of this is true.* she gestured to their clothes, then told her what happened when the duo woke and all she remembered - the Pokedex of her home, Pokemon names, typings, and entries from her Pokedex, descriptions of stuff like planes, submarines, and other advanced tech, and so much more. she often stopped to let her adjust to the info before continuing.
