Kaladin stepped back as well, and it was probably for the best that they moved, otherwise Drayke would've landed on top of them.

Damon knew he couldn't outrun Sonic but he could certainly outsmart him. Pulling out a small ball-like object he hurled it at Sonic and walks calmly away before turning a cornor and disappearing.
Selkie held onto both Kaladin and Drayke.
