"There we go. That's a good boy." She reaches up to try to pet him, but because her legs are injured she just ends up falling face-first in the snow.

He tries to help her up, Ash watching, completely in shock

"Thanks, Ares." Carefully holding onto his back so she can be on her feet, she pets the kelpie. "Ash, put down the sword and maybe Ares'll let you pet him."

"I don't want to pet him. I'm not even sure how you managed..."

"Sedatives. Plus a whole bunch of love and attention." She smiles at the kelpie, stroking his neck. "And how can you not want to pet him? I don't think you'll get many chances to pet an awesome murder fish horse."

"Yeah...I'll pass."

She rolls his eyes. "Ares," she gently taps his nose to get his attention, "can you help me get those?" She points to the out-of-reach bottle of sedatives.

He goes over to them, slowly though as to not go out from under Isiea

"Good boy." She smiles and gives him a little kiss on the head, then picks up the bottle and puts it in her satchel.

This only makes Ash that much more stunned and confused
