" *gasp!* don't talk about basil that way! She's right there!"

Zeth had gone to that old armor stash she remembered Saras having somewhere in the back. When Zeth returned, she had an armload of metals. There were placed down next to Scias, then the jar was opened, and carefully placed on its side.

She sat down in a chair at the counter and stretched herself out. "If we have time to kill, I need sleep. Wake me up if something important happens..." Her voice trailed off as her head laid down. She hadn't had a good rest in several days.


Basil*

"I don't think she was-...oh never mind." Basil ran a hand through her hair and sighed. "Glad thats over."

Sereya
"Me too, Basil sweetheart. Had enough action for one day. Have a feeling that happens a lot around here for how tired all you deadbeats look, but that's a war for you, I guess."
She stepped over to shake the jar a bit, letting Scias drop out on top of the metal, giving him a pat on the core in acknowledgement as he seemed to blink out a thanks. She cracking open a small bag of blue geodes from her armor to snack on, setting two almost larger than him on the pile.
She returned to the cushiest seat she could find in the room afterwards, helping herself to the rest she had brought.
"Hope I'm not here too long, getting used to human food's gonna be a real pain.."
She said as she slipped one of the rocks past her mouth.

Basil*

She perked up a bit, being fascinated by the blueish stones. "Why does ypur kind eat rocks? What specific benefits does it have that 'human food' does not?"

Sereya
"Well, for one, we're a bunch of scavengers from a dead planet. We'll take what we can get in general. We got used to eating things like this long before our atmosphere started dying off. Don't ask me why or how, loooong before my time. If I had to guess, it was all that work our ancestors needed to do to clear out the underground for cities. And for two, I don't know, a lot more minerals or something? We're not exactly the same type of lifeform as you and all your fleshy friends, dear.
And I've heard human food tastes pretty good, but when you can barely taste it to begin with.. I don't know.. It's sort of disappointing? We don't exactly have a sense of smell or anything.."

Basil


"That's pretty neat." She had made herself comfortable in her corner. "What a long day...." Basil whispered as she also began to drift

Sereya
She smiled sweetly at Basil, but found herself unable to rest herself. Something was still bugging her..
Oh well, she'd figure it out later.

(Guys... really... why you do this? Why do any of us do this? Why do we post so much? It's a pain to read through, can we try to ping someone if they aren't responding?)

IDK.
I thought reading was a required skill to rp or do any writing related activity. I definitely try to tone down the length of my posts, but I'm not able to just write single sentences if that's what you're after. Way too much experience writing so it's very difficult and unfun for me to not describe things the way I do.

I don't mind giving you a recap but it's basically: Zeth decided to gung-ho (out of love uwu) and get Scias back. Sereya joined her and Basil was dragged as a lookout to make sure they could get out safely. They got through, got Scias who had been tortured almost to death, and got back to base. So they're just chilling now.

And insomnia's weird and there's like 3 gung-ho characters on this party ready to take everything on themselves. Not trying to exclude you guys at all. Actually have plans to probably take control of Umbra for myself since Flame pretty much has given me free reign at this point. Not getting through that without the full party. :p

I also try not to leave people with an inbox full of 30 pings if night posting happens. I'll usually ping at the start of something and stop after a few times if someone's offline or not responding.)
