Clay nods once, "Okay."

"Yeah he make even get out in a week," Neva says facing Joe.
Kini puts a finger to his lips and tries sneaking past Neva.
"Kini if you get up out of that bed again I will strap you down," Maggie says from behind Kini.
"Yes ma'am."

"Oh, yeah! That's right, I promised to lend you these..." Joe reached into his backpack and pulled out a blue paper folder. "I brought in some copies of the better newspaper articles. These are either very funny or pretty action-filled." He said, handing it to Kini.

Sonic smiled. "Just 'okay'?"

"Thank you," Kini takes the folder.
"Back in bed you can visit your friends while you lay down," Maggie suggests.
"Fine," Kini truges back to his bed.

Joe chuckled lightly and followed along behind.

"Aw, cheer up, okay? Knuckles is hard to get along with, anyway." Sonic shrugged. "If you want, I could try to set soemthing up for ya?"

"Not on your life hedgehog,'' Clay snarls.

Kini gets back in bed with relutance as Maggie leaves the room, "I hope your little stunt with the security tape paid off."

"Er, it did, just not in the way I expected." Joe admitted.

"No thank you Sonic," Clay corrects.


"How did it work out," Kini asks.

Joe smiled sheepishly. "Let's just say that the investigation got somebody's attention."

The hedgehog nodded once. "Alrighty."

"Let me guess," Kini guesses, "Mama Winter's clan?"

Clay and Ajal kept eating.

"Uh... yes?" Joe said.

As Sonic ate, he thoughtfully reguarded the two canines with a slight tilt of his left ear.
