Starlight gets up and goes over to the stables.

The next day Starlight had a bag packed for Collin, "You might need these and be careful okay?"

(Lucky. I'm just watching some of the neighbors setting them off; all the shows by me got canceled.)

Collin chuckled. "Don't worry miss, I will be." He assured her, climbing up onto Noble. "I'll try to be back in a few days. Take care of yourself and Evermore for me, won't you?"

(Not lucky people crowded our yard and ran over the farmer's fields. I'm just gateful none got closer then they did)


Starlight nods once, "You know I will. Just be careful I have a funny feeling."

(Yikes. That happen every year?)

"I promise I will be." Collin repeated, then smiled. "I'll even go straight to Douglas if I get shot this time." He added woth a chuckle.

(Yep some people park in our yard too. Last year we about lost our mailbox to them)


Starlight frowns, "Don't even joke about that okay? You could have gotten killed."

(Yikes. Well, that's just inconsiderate. Have you tried taping off your yard or something?)

"Sorry, sorry." Collin responded quickly, ears drooping a bit. "I won't mention it."

Starlight smiles sadly, "Just be careful and use your head and listen to your heart."

(I watched Hamilton on Disney+ last night and then passed by a statue of Laffyette today, so that was fun.)
(And you used one of my favorite lines ajshdkfjkl--! It's from a book I read once, actually. One of the books in the Dragons of Starlight series, if I remember correctly.)

Collin smiled. "Of course miss." He agreed. "See you in a few days?"
