Jason felt guilt wash over him as well did guilty gray wash over his freckles and underwings. "P-Puck..." He whispered almost inaudible,holding firmly onto the faey as if his world was going to spin out of control at any second,and he felt like he was going to lose it.And lose it bad.Just as Shade had,but he knew he couldn't.

"Hold on," Puck replied. "I'm going to see if they're alive." He slipped out of Jason's hold and was beside Kimi instantly, rolling her over. The little half-phoukas eyes were open, gazing sightlessly at the ceiling, and she didnt move a muscle.

He paused a moment before rising to his feet. "They're not dead. At least, I dont think so. Theyre still breathing, but..." He frowned, squinting at Kimi's slack expression. "I think their brains have short-circuited. Or the bugs are keeping them in some sort of coma." He shook his head, looking up at me. Sorry, Jason. I cant do anything for them."

"Of course you cant, darling." Leanansidhe breezed through the doorway, her face a porcelain mask, eyes glowing green. "Fortunately, I know a mortal doctor who might be able to help. If he cannot revive the streetrats, then there is no hope for them."

Jason wrapped his arms around his torso with the sound of clinking glass,looking to Lean. "I'm sorry." He said softly,wings quivering.

He was confused but understood. He was glad she understood dragon feelings for family,but also confused on how she had learned it if not from his own stubbornness.
