"Are you okay?" Kate fretted. "You bit your tongue. I know firsthand how bad that can hurt...Do you need some water or something?"

D gave a soft smile. "D...I'm okay." She said,making her tone sound more her age and forcing herself to speak normal. She couldn't often do so because it was a struggle yet she still tried. And it partially worked.

"Are you sure?" The worry was thick in her voice. She was still worried despite D's efforts

D patted Kate's shoulder,clearly trying to act like a normal person by now. She'd moved her shoulders to be no longer bent forward a bit but rather more human like in posture. She held her wings to her back firmly as if she was trying to be more human. Normal. "I'm...I'm sure."

She noticed and smiled at D's efforts to be more normal. She kinda didn't like it when she did that. It took away part if D's personality.

D pulled her hand back and carefully looked out again,leaning out and holding onto the door frame carefully as she tried to use her dragon legs more in a human posture. Her tail was more hanging down like a dogs rather than up and back like a raptors.

"Why are you doing that?" Kate asked in a whisper, tilting her head to the side a little

D's sensitive ears caught her voice and her head spun a bit to face her as she turned toward her carefully. "Huh?"

"Youre trying to be more..." She thought for a moment. "More like me. Why?"

D's wings shifted against her back,her tail swishing a bit before being forced to stay still. "...Kate...n-is...Kate is normal...and...you are...used to normal...things...so I'm...trying...to make K-you...more comfortable."
