Fate blinked in surprise, then looked down at Charsy, then the girl. Who....? Her eyes looked up until she saw the boy with the wolf, who had been with the girl this entire time.
She tilted her head inquisitively, brushing her red-brown hair out of her eyes. "Who's this?"

They both look related.... and they're also what Charsy calls 'Half-breeds'. She felt herself absently reach up to touch the gills on her neck. A thought came to her.
Does this mean I can breathe underwater?
