"Oh, is that the building over there?" Moonstone asked, pointing to a donut store with a giant hole through the glass. "Oops" She said, not caring too much about the store.

'Yep. That was Lars." Sapphire said, tempted to fuse with ruby. "I think steven went to see him and Sadie."

"Which one is he in love with, and why is he so nervous but happy?" She asked, pointing to each color as she said the corresponding emotions. Pink for love, yellow for happy, and orange for anxiety. "Also, what's a Lars?" Moonstone asked, not very knowledgeable on humans. "Actually, I think it was Sadie who had you last, I saw a young human female holding your gem at one point" Onyx told her. Moonstone just stared blankly for a few seconds "I still have no idea what a Sadie is" Moonstone said.

"Okay. Time for explanations on humans." Ruby and sapphire said at the same time. Ruby spoke first,"Just like we are named for our gem type, Humans have different names also. The difference is that their parents names them. Not every female has the same name, and not every male has the same name. Lars is a male, Sadie is a female." Sapphire went next,"Humans have parents. When 2 humans come together, they can make a child, just like we are made. Except very different."
Once again the 2 spoke at the same time,"Everyone in the temple have been shipping Lars and Sadie, but Lars won't get with her." They looked at each other,"We don't under stand how its that hard."

"Shipping? Is that Earth slang for something?" Moonstone asked. Mica and Onyx both shrugged "this is our first time being around others too, we have no clue what it means" Mica told her, smiling slightly. "What was the hard part you were talking about, understanding how humans work, or why Lars won't get with Sadie?" Onyx asked. "When do we get to see humans, I heard there's a human zoo Pink Diamond created, but I never got to see it" Mica asked them.

"Shipping means wanting a pair to get together." Sapphire said.
"Why can go into town and see some humans, there are plenty." Ruby remarked.

"Cool!" The three new gems exclaimed at the same time. Onyx and Mica ran ahead along the boardwalk. "Ruby! Sapphire! What's that one called?" Onyx yelled back as Mica began caustiously approaching the human, looking kind of strange as she looked at the young boy, her eyes just peeking above the counter. He just kind of gave her a look showing he's dead inside, weirdos like her coming here a lot.

Moonstone followed behind them. "Mica! Be careful! It might be dangerous!" Moonstone warned her. "So, what would you like?" The young boy at the fry stand Asked in a monotone voice, not bothered at all by the odd behavior.

Sapphire and Ruby rushed over to them,"That's Peedee. He sells food here." Sapphire told them. "I'll get some bits for Steven." Ruby told him.

"Is he safe?" Moonstone asked, only coming a few steps closer. Onyx was now as Miva's side, but standing normally. "Hello Pee-Dee" Onyx greeted, speaking the name oddly. "Peedee..." Mica repeated in a dramatic whisper. "Right, the bits" Peedee said before walking away to go get the fry bits.

(Yeah, it was Peedee)

"Yes, he's safe. I don't think any of the humans in beach city would try to hurt you." Sapphire told them.
