I know they aren't dogs, Sly Dog is just a ( I don't really know what it is) nickname, as some people are called Sly Dog. I like that you liked the Sly part though.

For the griffi, how about Narukami or Raijin? These are names for the god of thunder, lightning, and storms in Japanese Mythology.
Also, there are more names for this thunder god, but they're a lot longer, so I didn't recommend them outright. I'll add them here anyway, just in case. There's Raiden-sama, Kaminari-sama, and by far the longest, Yakusa no ikazuchi no kami. All names basically mean "thunder god" or "lightning master"

Me again, Aaron. I noticed your Nephini boy has the colors of the German flag. How about naming him "Fahne," the German word for a flag or banner?

BTW, I now need a name for my new little Loch Ness Sylvorpa--

My adult Loch Ness Sylvorpa is named Dearcmhara, which is the name of the only real marine reptile whose fossil remains have been found in Scotland. The boy above has Carried Bio-luminescent Wings
and Carried Angler Lights. A name connected to his traits or to the fact that he's a Loch Ness Vorpa would be cool.

How about the name 'Blitz', which is German for, 'Lightning'. I mentioned the name because of your girl's markings. She had the marks of lightning, so I thought it was a great name!
Or, how about the name, 'Schlecht Wetter', which is German for, 'Bad Weather'. I mentioned this name because of your girl's markings and colors! So this name came to mind.
