Leon: "thank you."


Kat: "it seems safe here. there are plenty of beds, the lights aren't out yet, there is a food court, and cable! why do we need to leave in till we know of survivors?"

surprised by his answer "y-your welcome" i sputter, putting back the viles and stuff back in the kit "i guess we could stay here" i say getting up and typing in a code on the wall keypad and the steel doors shut around our area keeping the zombies out but we would still have the food and beds to ourselves "good thing i watched the doctors a little too close" i say smiling, then notice i said that out loud "i didnt mean to say that" i think to myself and plop on a bed in the corner, sitting up and watching what everyone else was doing, putting my kit under my bed

"I vote that we have a guard. I mean no one has any experience with zombies, and we don't know their limits." I say, staring at the door.

"they cant get through that door but i guess just to be safe, i'll take first watch," i look down at my phone 12:30 am "you guys can get some sleep" i say getting up and walking to the doors and lean against the wall watching as everyone was going to bed, then listen for any noise down the hall through the closed and locked doors, holding my gun

Leon: "did you forget that i was sent to take care of the zombies?"

Kat: "no we did not, you need rest." i pick up Benny and put him in a bed, close to a window so he can look out. i climb in next to him.

Yasa: i too climb into bed with Kat. "we are going to make it out of here. dont worry."

I curl up on the bed, my spear kaleidoscope, clenched in my hand. I can't sleep. Worry for my family churns through me. Then fear. The whole word is like this. Even if we make it out of the hospital, where would we go? My eyes dart around the room.

"i hope" i think to myself and keep listening...everyone soon falls asleep, i keep listening but hear nothing, i look over to the others sleeping, but i wasnt sure Leon was asleep, i look down at my phone 1:30 am

I haven't slept a wink, and I finally sit up, and cross the room to look out the window, my spear in hand.

i instantly look over at the girl moving around "what's wrong, you should be sleeping"

Leon: i get up and walk to the window. "we will find a way to get ahold of your family, i just need a computer."


Kat: i watch them. we could all start a new life. We had enough people.








Brom: i stumble through the snow, Claradon right behind me. "who's idea was it to sking in Canada?"

Claradon: "your's."

Brom: "forget it. look there is a house ahead." i walk up the steps and knock on the door.
