"Turn you've gotta start being strong." He said simply. "Tell me, why did you become a doctor?" He suddenly asked. "Why?" Well, he had become one after Dr. H operated on him when he was 8. He loved saving lives. Helping others...though some of them turned out in bad results in the end...but still!

Terrie looked up at him sadly and memories of her family popped in her mind. "my whole family died in a car crash, no one could save them because they were to far gone. I became a doctor so /i could put all of everything I had into saving families in the same situation." She said and remembered sitting in the waiting room all alone as the last of her family died. She was alone, an orphan after that. she swore on her life that she would save anyone that she encountered and needed help.

"Well, that's a very good reason. So why don't you continue helping others? My mother, we were bombed. My dad...was somewhere else. She died, I survived. I was operated on. That's why. I was saved by a doctor, so I could at least follow his footsteps." He said, shrugging. "I owe him. So I'm relaying him by saving others."

Terrie shook her head and grimaced. "I don't owe doctors anything, my only options was to become a doctor and be better than everyone else or become a mass murderer and kill everyone who failed to save my family." She said with venom in her voice. She should have went with the second one because then she would be in death row and wouldn't have to be in the situation she was in now.

"Hey, but after a while, I liked saving people. I'm don't owe him anything anymore, but I think I owe him my life. He gave me the idea of becoming a doctor. Now, well, I just do it. Just because I...enjoy it." He said, nodding. "I was pretty sure my life was over when I was pretty much blown to bits, but him, saving me, gave my me inspiration."

Terrie gave him a small smile and nodded her head. Before she could stop herself she pulled him into a hug. "I'm glad that you were saved." she said trying to comfort herself more then him but she hoped it went both ways. she wondered if hugging him was awkward, she didn't feel awkward about it but men take things differently.

Black Jack wasn't very comfortable with...hugs...too close. But, whatever. It felt awkward...and comforting? Agh, no... Yeesh. "Well, thanks, I guess. So does this mean you won't kill yourself, Terrie?" He asked, smiling hopefully.

"Nope. but it definitely makes me feel better that someone will remember me if I die." Terrie said and pulled away. Turning her attention back to the kid she wondered were his sister was. They needed the ice to lower his fever before they continued to fix or what they thought was fixing him...
