"Which ever you prefer--" Collin twitched an ear upon hearing the horse's approach. "...Oh, corkscrews and loops, what is he trying to do?"

A few more minutes passed before the beast emerged from the undergrowth, antannae pinned back and all claws extended.

Night stood there calmly and offered the fish to Freckles, "Hungry girl?"

Umbra stood by Collin and Robin stepping back slightly.

Collin instinctively put a hand on Umbra's neck, partially to soothe him and partially to calm himself.

The creature recoiled, head lowered threateningly.

(Umbra is male)

Night puts the fish down and backs away, "I'm not your enemy nor am I food. I'm sorry my friends were scared of you but you did attack them."


Umbra paws the ground nervously not able to see Night.

(Sorry, I was thinking about the other Night's horse, heh.)

Collin tried to listen in. He could hear Night talking, but he was too far to make out any coherent speech.

The worm's antannae steadily swivled forward as Night backed away. It was unclear whether she understood or not, however.

Night keep eye contact with Freckles, "Please my friend accept the gift and leave us in peace."

Umbra snorts once straining his ears to listen to Night. He debates between charging in or staying away.

She seemed to return the gaze, though remained rooted to the spot.

Night gets another fish out of his bag, "This is the last fish I have please eat it you need it more then I do.'

The creature edged closer ever so slightly, antennae folding back again.

Night refuses to make eye contact as he puts the fish down for Freckles then backs away a few steps.
