Victoria obeys, still not fighting against them. She couldn't see Mason and Mason couldn't see her because of the guards in the way

Victoria kind of just stands there, not really understanding what was happening. Mason continues to ignore the guards

"Let me just apologize first," Mason said, pain visible in his eyes before going emotionless. "You might be ripped to shreds," he said, shrugging as if it was nothing, but Vicky started to freak. "What?! But..." she couldn't finish as tears started to trail down her cheeks.

Inside, his heart had shattered into a million unrepairable pieces. But he knew the guards and Caspian just wanted a reaction. He had to look away from Victoria before he did react
