The castle is cold. The floor is lined with white, marbled tile engraved with little snowflake symbols, each one unique like the precipitation it represents. A sky-blue rug lines the middle of the floor, with a silver trim on its edges. Tapestries and paintings depict winter fey, but some also show other fey, usually being defeated by said icy beings. A good 2/3rds of those defeated fey are arials. The place is lit by candles, but instead of fire the 'light' is made from some sort of glowing ice.

Neat.

By most doors are at least one armored guard. They, just like the others, all warily reach for their weapons when they see Skullio and Ti, and Kira has to talk quite a few down to prevent them from attacking.

Kira walks with purpose- she knows where she's going. As they get further in, they see some other, non-guard castle staff throughout the castle. Cleaning staff, maids, kitchen workers, and others. Most are pouka, though there's a few unfamiliar creatures, goatlike with long horns and hooves for feet, with short white fur and large, watery eyes,

Her pace slows, and she gazes at a pair of guards. One is tall, with a long basilisk tail. The armor obscures pretty much every feature of the basilisk, but its eyes are identical to the sister in the picture.
