Ajal and Clay play and splash each other in the water.

(There is an episode in Sonic X where Sonic goes to save Amy who is knocked out in the water. So he isn't totally petrified by water.)

(What about the 5th episode of the first season, when Knuckles tackled him into a shallow pond? And the 20th one where he was on a cruise ship? Those are just two examples in the series out of many.)

Sonic got up and wandered to the edge of the platform, gazing down at the resivior far below. "...Ugh."

(That said, given Sonic's heroism, I guess he can brave water if lives other than his own are on the line. Like, he did it with Perfect Chaos.)

Sonic walked along the edge, gazing down still. Dry, but uneasy.
