Shadow grunted. "That's cute."
"Shadow!" Sonic retorted. "Can you not?"
The dark hedgehog met his gaze. "Real life isn't that idealistic. As far as I'm concerned, there's always been fighting and nothing is new under the sun."
Red sighed. You both have a point. As great as that sounds Kit, there's always going to be somebody who wants to disrupt the peace.

Kit nodded.

Val stared at Shadow with a deadpan expression.

Shadow blatantly ignored her.
Red sighed. "Right, well, I think everyone here has pretty much designated Holt and Val as a team at this point--"
"I'm sorry?" Holt asked, but Red kept talking.
"--but since Val isn't feeling it, Kit, would you be willing to investigate a bit more with either Sonic, Shadow, or myself?"

Val leaned a little on Holt, she just wanted to snuggle.

Kit nodded, "I'd be more than willing. I also wouldn't mind catching up with Sonic a bit." she said with a light smile.

Holt idly put a hand over Val's shoulder. "..."

Sonic lightly elbowed Kit with a grin. "Alright! Take a few minutes and get ready to head out, okay?"

Val leaned into Holt a little more as she yawned.

Kit nodded, "Got it."

Sonic smiled, then tipped his head. "Go," He urged.

Holt sighed. "Guess I'mma just be sitting here for a while?"
"It's probably for the best." Shadow grunted.

Kit gave a chuckle as she went off to get ready and such.

Val yawned softly as she curled up slightly.

Holt shrugged. "Alright...?"

Sonic waited for Kit impatiently, fidgiting and pacing.

Kit soon returned.
