Darius lifted off as well, trying to find the life signatures of the Elders. There were none.
"That b*tch," he growled, "She killed them all off, too!"
He let out a wordless scream of fury that echoed across the island.

Shara heard a whimper to her right, and turned, running to find a young mother that was riddled with wounds from shrapnel and bullets. Each time she inhaled, her chest made a terrible sucking sound, and blood was dripping from the corner of her mouth. "Please!" she rasped, dragging her once-beautiful frame toward Shara, six kits clinging fiercely to her back, "Take my kits! Save them!"
"I'll do more than that," Shara said as she leapt to assist the mother, healing her wounds and sustaining her with her own life force. However, as she was healed, her appearance changed.

Myra ran over next to them and stopped, gaping.
