Kai shakes the ink off her fur throwing it everywhere. Including on Selkie making him look like he had the plague.

(I'm not sure it could and sorry I've been wanting to pull this for awhile.)
Yannis walks down the steps to check on Selkie. Upon seeing the spots he runs out of the room as if his tail was on fire and slams the door behind him, "Plague!"
Selkie looks down at his fur freaking out a little himself.
Kai looks at Selkie, Should we tell them it's ink or let them panic?
