Kal waited for him to finish, taking the opprotunity to get his thoughts in order.

Selkie finishes the water then looks at Kaladin as a bottle comes bouncing down the steps. The bottle lands on the floor of the medical ward with a few cracks,Seaweed making a pleased noise and Kai growling.

Kal winced in surprise, glancing at the bottle then moving to pick it up.

The bottle has a message in it one that was partially submerged. It was ovious that there were too pieces of paper in it one though was dissolving.

Kaladin carefully removed both sheets of paper and laid them out on the desk to dry. Hopefully they were at least somewhat ledgible still, but he'd get to them later. "Sorry, what were you asking?" He asked Selkie.

"What did you find out," Selkie repeats the question.

"I assume you mean about your father?"

"Anything you found out,'' Selkie corrects, "I'm sorry that I dragged you into this.''

"Not too much. There was a tribe that... tolerated... us until nightfall. They prefered to keep to themselves I suppose, had us out in a hurry. As for your father, he went out that way looking for other otters. It doesn't seem like he had much sucess with that, though; he also caught heat stroke."

Selkie frowns laying back down, "Thanks for telling me."
