Soultice meowed something, going over to Bella and meowing more, then scratching his ear like he was suddenly itchy.

Bella nodded, though she had no idea what Soultice was saying, "Dark matter. The only thing that can knock out someone with powerful magic."

The thing nodded, then turned and paced around the room, waiting.

Spark tilted her head, hearing that word Magic again.

D huffed. "Mean." She mean knocking someone out was mean.

Dexter went down the stair case quickly

Soultice meowed in a very helpful manner.

Bella nodded, "That means they want them alive, to study."

At the bottom was a glowing light.

D whimpered at the word Study and Spark hissed, feathers ruffling.

Dexter went toward it

Bella sighed, sitting down, "I don't really want to find the Searchers, they always bother me."

He was awake, for real this time. He couldn't see or move, but he could hear people talking.

D looked at Luke. "Study?" She asked.

Luke sighed. "No worries, you wont get studied again." He stroked her wings to calm her.

He tried to do something, anything.

"Studying is not fun," Bella said with a sigh, now she just seemed sad, then on edge again as she stood up, "Any clues?"

Nope. Nothing happened, though the voices sounded surprised now.

Luke pointed at the scuff marks. "Dexter fought, looks like, but they lead to the door. Looks like something sharp was touching the ground, leaving something we might be able to follow."

He kept trying.

Bella nodded, "It was probably that Searcher from before. Do you think we can follow it," She looked worried, not wanting to follow a dangerous trail.

They finally removed what was covering his eyes. He was in a room, with doctors... or scientists(?) standing on either side of him, looking confused.

"We can, but you can stay here with Spark if you want. She can keep you safe while D and I go search."

He instantly glared at them.
