Scias decided to put his anger to good use, cradling X's core protectively in his hands as he watched Zeth dart out the door. If anything, what he was about to do would provide enough of an interesting diversion to pull any other soldiers in the area far away from the others trying to escape.

It was.. strange to think about, but he didn't want to leave Zeth's side. He hated her and everything she stood for.. But.. Did he? He was.. confused.
But the only thing knew for sure was how relentless the army would stay on trying to capture Corasi and the others regardless of where she went. He was tired of this.
He'd put his own life on the line if he had to, but he had to find his way back in.
He flipped on the communicator he had plucked off Zeth on, setting it to broadcast to any Exterminators or their commanders in the area.
"This is Codename Reaper, speaking. What are my orders?"

Hexic took one final swipe at them before running after Corasi and Basil. He saw they had stopped to wait for him. Dude, he was a lion. He could catch up easy. But, he was struggling to hold the form. Now that they were trying to get away, something else that was a little easier to hold might be better. He shifted into a German Sheppard (his favorite doggo) and caught up with the girls.

The men were indeed confused. First some large cat like creature attacking, and now reaper? The leader was impressed with the group, but at the same time, disappointed.

"Funny to be hearing from you... I almost thought you were dead...oh wait, that was 'code name devil's' mission. Her one and only goal, to kill you... You must be special to make one of our best hunter lose sight of her goal. She continually put off killing you...why? Such a shame you should surrender yourself *clap.....clap....clap* Well done."

A sick cackle filled the transmitter before it stopped. If Scias were to listen carefully, he might here several sets of shoes hitting the ground as man began to run towards Zeth's old home. Perhaps Scias would use the upstairs window as a means of escape, or perhaps he would fight them off, but he better make up his mind...


Basil*

She attempted to comfort Corasi with a hug. "It was tough back there, but we made it. We are alive, and so are most of our friends. Don't give up." She saw Hexic and immediately began to ru off again. "Glad you're okay." she said with a smile to hexic

(you know I'm going with the Rambo option, I'm infiltrating this army even if I have to make a new character to do it)

Scias stood his ground, satisfied as he tucked the communicator in his armor. He set aside his rifle and pistol, fully intending to surrender.
He hoped it would give the group enough of a window of time to escape. The dumb soldiers of the army would fall all over themselves to bring him to Umbra. Even more so with X dead in his hands.
He'd just have to count on his luck to pull him through, not intending to show his hand to anyone.

"I'm glad you two are okay too. Now, where we going?"

"I'm afraid we aren't safe anywhere. They want us for experiments. We might even have to change what we look like or put on masks. But..." she shook her head.

(Sorry for the abrupt leave, my wifi went out last night due to a really bad storm. But it's all good now!)


Zeth*

The group below her seemed safe. She couldn't spot any men attempting to follow them, so that must mean something else had gotten their attention. She continued to watch over Corasi, Basil and Hexic from a distance.


Basil*

Just because we can't see anyone following us, doesn't mean their aren't any. We need to keep moving...Hey, where's Scias and Zeth? Are they coming?"




The men with scias*

Four man came into the room, all prepared to apprehend 'Reaper'.

The leader stepped forward boldly and spoke. "I didn't recognize you earlier, but what a fool I was. Because you are so valuable alive, I'll give you two options. Option one, you surrender yourself completely and allow my men to bind you, after which you will be taken to a prison to be inspected and possibly tested. Second option, we kill you here and now with the same EMP used to kill your little friend. What'll it be...Reaper"

(Cliffhanger or not, gave me time to get Flame caught up. Just glad everything went okay.)

Scias
"Bind me. My weapons are already set aside. The only other valuable thing I have on me is this." He nodded at the core in his hands. "Take if you want, Umbra'd definitely want to see it himself." Scias said matter-of-factly. He had already sent out a mental distress signal during the broadcast, both of which that had been picked up by.. someone, but at this point, his own life was secondary to his goal. He just hoped he could survive their tests long enough to make it happen.

"Knowing Scias... he's probably trying to distract them and trying to play hero. I just hope he doesn't die... Zethrin might be trying to right her wrongs. She looked actually scared when they came to collect us. She looked like she made a mistake. Sure, we shouldn't trust her now." She gestured with her hands to get the point across.

The men smiled at Scias. Two of them stepped forward and tied him. The leader of the group tapped his ear piece and began to speak.

"Captain....yes sir...no sir...of course sir...we have apprehended Reaper...the hybrid and human? No sir....Yes sir, Reaper. Understood sir." The leader took his hand away from the ear piece and shook his head. "Load this one onto the ship. He is to be taken to the lab effective immediately. Umbra has ordered the captain to have him delivered spotless in order to be tested and questioned. Umbra has ordered that we hunt his friends down as well. Will have a dozen men on their tails by morning....They don't have to be alive when delivered." The leader snatched 'X's core from Scias and marched out of the room, headed for a ship that had landed just outside.


Zeth*

She heard engines outside, which meant the men were leaving. Knowing the military like she did, she knew they had to have found something they liked in order to leave....Scias... "I expect you not to get yourself killed pretty boy..." she mumbled inaudibly. She had slightly lost focus of her surrounding, being a bit dazed by the whole situation.


Basil*

"I see...anyway, we are just standing around...we need to get moving!" Basil said as she started to walk to no where in particular.
