She just shrugs. 'I don't have anything to say."


She flinches a little at that.

Donavan sighs, "No? Not even about the wolf you sent after Delta?"



"Sorry. I should have clarified, one of my good friends is a siren. I haven't seen her for a long time though," Lycan explains, "first time we met she tried to eat me after I first transformed. After that we became friends."

"What wolf? Who's Delta?"


"Oh." She goes quiet for a long moment. "She must not be from around here. There's no other sirens here- I've checked."

"The siren. And I think you know what wolf I mean, the one that can transform between man and wolf at will. The one that chased you."




"She's from another country far away," Lycan responds, "I had to move."

"I don't know any sirens." She's genuinely confused.


"Oh." She goes quiet again.

Chelsea looks around, "Umm I do. One of the visitors in our campsite was a siren. The other was our friend."
"Yeah well we're all in danger."


"Don't worry about it," Lycan responds, "Thanks for your help."

Rim goes silent, concerned.


"Of course." She smiles shyly at him.

"Aren't you going to say anything?"


Lycan sniffs the air, "So I take it you aren't alone in this forest."

She just sort of shrugs, visibly not sure what to say.


"There's a few others. I don't really know any of them, though."

Donavan sighs. He quickly transforms back into his horse form and walks away.


Lycan nods, "Understandable. So, what do you like to do around here?"
