Sharky waited until they had finished, "All right me hearties. Put yer dishes in the sink and report to deck. Let's see how you lot take to sailin'."

Kit and Terrin did as they were told. They went above deck ready to work on the ship with Tarka and Sharky.

"Whoo!" Tarka cheered excitedly. "Be right there, just a tick!" With that, he picked up his bowl and ran it over to the kitchen, before hurrying back up onto deck, tail fanned in excitement. "Never sailed before mate! Well, I mean I have, but I've never helped make it go 'fore."

Sharky chuckled, "Well get ready to learn Mateys." He began by pointing out the various parts of the rigging and what they were for. Once that was out of the way he moved to the tiller. "Alright me hearties, I want kit up in the crowd nest on look out. Keep yer eyes peeled for underwater rocks and whales and whatnot. Take and Terrin. I want ye to lose the sails so they catch the breeze."

Kit quickly climbs the mast using her claws, "Oh it Captain. So would a giant wave be something that I should also be on the look out for?"

Terrin glances up at his sister, "A typhoon already?"
"No just asking in case."
"Don't scare me like that," Terrin muttered as he helps with the sails.

Tarka bounced a bit excitedly. "Aye-aye Cap'n!" He chimed, darting over to loosen the sails.

Sharky chuckled, "Aye lass. Storms be one of the things to watch for. As well as Sharks, whirlpools, and other dangers. Also keep a lookout for land. We may need to resupply at times." Sharky gave the tiller a hard shove turning the ship to face the ocean, "Any more questions Mateys?"

"Not from me," Kit calls back as she watches the sea. She sniffs the air truely noticing the scent of the salty air for the first time.

Terrin shook his head, "None at the molment."
He works on securing the sails and the other things that needed doing.

"Nope! Not this second mate!" Tarka confirmed.

Sharky smiled untieing the bow rope. "Well then me hearties let's loose the sails and get under way."
