Mica ran after her, but ran in more of a zig zagged pattern, keeping up with Garnet at a strange pace.

Why is she running so weird? Ruby thought inside of Garnet. Garnet stayed silent as she ran,"Is that her?" she asked once they neared the center of the city.

"Onyx!" She cried happily. The small dark gem whipped to face her. "Mica!" She yelled excitedly. The two gems ran to each other, Onyx doing a sort of jumping run, and Mica doing her usual zigzag run. The two finally collided, instantly fusing into melanite, who was laughing as she fell to the ground.



"Stupid emotions, stupid colors" Moonstone grumbled as she walked along the shoreline, her body's color deepening as the person who last touched her gem felt those emotions. Her gem remained the pure white it should, but the rest of her was a deepening yellow and pink. She brushed some of the glass from the storefront off of her. It was starting to get dark outside, so she had a perfect view of the moon. She put a hand on her gem, staring at the place of her namesake, Earth wasn't the only planet with a moon, so moons were the most common station for other moonstones, but she never enjoyed the moon of Earth very much, it was dull and dark, she would mostly watch the Earth from a distance, wondering what it was like.

Garnet smiled watching the two fuse. Garnet suddenly unfused and sapphire ran over to the fusion,"I'm sapphire, and that is ruby!"

"Hello Sapphire, Ruby. we're- well, I'm Melanite" the fusion introduced herself. "Why not tell me a little but about this place, since I suppose we could be sticking around for a while, our kindergarten was very lonely" Melanite said, nodding. "Maybe for starters, who's that?" She asked, pointing to the pink and yellow Moonstone on the beach.

Sapphire turned to the moonstone,"Thats a moonstone. We had one go missing the other day but she was white."

Ruby held hands with sapphire as she explained beach city. "Beach city is a city by the beach, as you can see. Humans live in this area and all over earth. Humans are organic if you didn't already know."

"Hey, is that the Moonstone I- um, nevermind" Melanite trailed off. "Moonstones on homeworld were typically always white, unless their owners preferred them to 'connected' to them, I wonder who she's connected to" Melanite said, glowing before she unfused. "Maybe we should spend a night unfused for now, like you guys" Onyx said, holdings hands with Mica, so looked warily over to the Moonstone. "That's definitely her, the one who attacked us" Mica said quietly


Moonstone looked around, looking for someone who said her name, she could've sworn she heard someone saying her name. She looked over her shoulder, seeing four small gems, a Ruby, Sapphire, and... oh, the Mica and Onyx she was supposed to capture, she should probably apologize. She stood up, taking a last look at the setting sun. She looked back down at herself, noticing a faint orange where the pink and yellow merged, the pink was also fading. She walked over to the two dark small gems

"I apologize for attacking you, I was ordered by my diamond, um, Blood Diamond, you capture you" Moonstone apologized.

Mica and Onyx looked at each other "We also apologize for attacking you as melanite unprovoked" The two said, looking at each other.

Sapphire watched moonstone and and 2 smaller gems talking,"So you were from Red diamond? Did you decide to join us?" Ruby smiled, the 2 gems were just like her and sapphire.

Moonstone sighed, then nodded. "I suppose, but not at this moment, I think I'd just prefer to be with myself for a while" Moonstone told them. "Also, do any of you know who's emotions these are?" She asked, motioning to her body, which was swirling with faded pink, yellow, and starting to deepen orange.

"I think I say that Lars kid take you. He works at the Big Donut." Ruby told her.
