(I don't mind ^^)

A'ine sighed and took the sketchbook from Alderic. She thumbed threw some of them looking briefly at the pages. "Well most of the stains are just on the edge of the pages. So it should be okay..." She said closing the book making sure no one else saw the pictures. There were also just Jora's.

Alderic let out a breath. "Well, that's good... So, you can read people's minds? That has to be helpful in some things." He said trying to make the conversion a little bit lighter. "Well, I try not to use it like that. I didn't even mean to 'talk' to you." She blushed a little and looked down at the book. "Actually, I only learned to Mind-speak this morning... I had no idea I could do any of this..." She said quietly.

Ember smiled at A'ine. Suddenly she was filled with sorrow, rage, fear. Not now! Some shadow-user is witnessing something huge and devastating. Ember knew she wouldn't be able to hold in the other person's feelings for long. She stared at the ground, and mumbled. "I, uh, lost my bracelet. I'm gonna go look for it," she said, knowing it was a stupid excuse. She turned and ran off. Tears began to stream down her face. She ran into the trees, and hid behind one. She began to sob, not bothering to be quiet. She was too far away for anyone to hear her. Hopefully A'ine was too exhausted to use telepathy. Who's feelings are these? They need help, but I'm too far away. This thought just made her cry harder. She knew she needed to get back soon, but there was no way this torrent of feelings would leave her anytime soon.

Orion turned to A"ine as Jora ran off. "Was she wearing a bracelet earlier?" (She wasn't.) he asked. He hadn't remembered seeing one on Ember's wrist. Then again, she had been wearing a long-sleeved hoodie.

(Sorry, had to throw in some more excitement. Also, A'ine couldn't feel the feelings with her telepathy. I think she'd be able to tell that Ember was feeling them, but she wouldn't be able to do what she did with Jora.)

A'ine smiled a little to the boys. "Yeah I think she said it was her mother's. I'm going to go help her look. You two stay here in case Jora wakes up confuse." She said knowing it was a lie. Even though she was tired she cared about Ember more then just exhausting herself. 'Ember? Are you okay?' She sent as she neared the trees and heard a little crying.

Alderic nodded and sat up straight. "So, um, you found Jora earlier?" He asked thinking about before breakfast. If it was true that because she had run off after talking to him and Corwin and she met Orion that was one good thing that was his fault.

Of course she knew it was a lie! Ember repliedYeah, I'm fine, I just- She cried out when fresh wave of horrible emotions hit her. She couldn't stop crying. Usually I can control it...

Orion nodded. "Yeah. She ran away from me too you know."

A'ine tried blocking the feelings from her friend like she did for Jora. She didn't know why it wasn't working but it wasn't working. She thought of something else she could try. 'Ember, just listen to me.. You're okay. No one's going to hurt you while I'm around.' She smiled a little. 'If you don't believe me just ask A'eda'n.' She tried what she wanted to. She sent Ember the time they were at lunch. A'ine was being goofy trying to get Ember to laugh...

Alderic shook his head and pointed at Orion. "But you went after her. I'm sure that counts for something." He looked over at Jora. "I wonder what made her tired..." He stared blankly at her sleeves and the burnt part on the edges.

A'ine! Stop it! None of it's going to work! she almost yelled at A'ine. She wasn't mad at A'ine, but whoever was feeling these emotions was furious. A'ine, you can't do anything about it! Ember knew this wasn't going sweaty anytime soon. Before anger and sadness had been the strongest feelings, but now fear was. I've never been so scared in my life.. she thought.

Orion knew what happened, but he wanted make sure Jora was alright with it. "You'll have to ask Jora.

A'ine pulled back a little. She wanted to know who was feeling this then she could help them and therefore help Ember. She found her friend and wrapped her arms around her. 'It's going to be okay... Do you know who's feeling this?' A'ine knew she had a distance limit on her mind but it was pretty big. A'ine stretched out a little trying to see if it was coming from Jora. A'ine didn't feel anything from Jora except exhaustion.

Alderic nodded. "So, A'ine's special with that whole mind thing. Did she say Jora was special because of the whole dragon phoenix thing?" He asked wondering if that was what had made her faint. "Or was it because of the whole fireball thing?" He ask thinking that Jora would have told Orion.

(Orion didn't know about the fireball. Jora had hid it pretty well, he just knows about all the kids. Oh and would it be okay for Jora to like 'travel' to the mind of whoever's feeling that from Ember's?)

(Whoops! Sorry!
Usually she could, but not this time only because of what happens in the post.)

No.... Suddenly the rush of feelings peaked, and then stopped. The only thing that was left was emptiness. Ember leaned on A'ine. A'ine, he... died.

"Fireball?" Orion asked. "What do you mean?"

A'ine didn't believe it. She squeezed Ember and raked her fingers threw her hair trying to comfort her. "It's okay. Are you okay?" She whispered quietly.

Alderic started talking without thinking. "Oh. If she gets angry, I guess, she throws fireballs." He hit his forehead and swiveled to look at Orion. "Wait you didn't know?" He hated himself again. Jora must not have wanted him to know, you big dolt!

"It's happened before, I'll be fine," said Ember. She was extremely glad that A'ine was comforting her. It definitely helped. She continued to cry for a bit, but not as hard as before.

"No, but don't worry, I won't tell her I know," said Orion, seeing Alderic facepalm. "I just wonder why she didn't want me to know..." he said, turning his gaze to Jora.
