True, but if they were all in the state that they had been as they died, they might still carry the virus. Which didn't make any sense, because the virus infected the body, and since ghosts don't have bodies...

Then again, if they brought the sickness when they died, a whole bunch of ghosts would be sick, including the little girl. And the girl seems to be okay other than the fact she's dead.

And the blood on her mouth. All victims seemed to have that, though.

(Well, names of sicknesses tend to be...confusing. To me, anyway. For example, the scientific name for strep.)

Yeah. If the sickness would've prolonged it, maybe someone would've coughed up a lung.
