"There is an exit out the side, noticed it on my way in here. If we go out that way and make a run for it, we should be set. Wasn't gonna walk into a stranger's place without makin' sure to scout the place out. Figured we'd be walkin' into something like this cuz I didn't like the read I was getting off the girl anyways." X kept his voice low with electric rolling off his back and off his breath with his rising stress. He redirected his own core to his hand and slowly started slipping away, directing the others to the back.
Although focused on the immediate threat to his life and saving the others, his attention seemed split elsewhere. He didn't seem particularly worried about either weapon to himself but tried to not telegraph it to the men trying to aim at him. If one paid close enough attention, they'd notice he was speaking with an intermixed radio frequency directed at the other Daarizi in the room.

'I'll kill you myself, Zeizan. You know that and you know you'll never escape that.
I might be off the Council now, but don't think I can't force a reset on your tail so hard you won't even remember the last hundred centuries. Hell, even a reset would be too good for you. I'd rip out that core of yours and shatter it.
Won't be here, kid, but I gave you enough chances, when no one else would. I don't know what notions the army got in your head, but you're just a ****in' timebomb and I ain't gettin' myself, these people, or the rest of our species caught in the blast. Do what you want with the humans, but just know for every one you keep killing and sellin' out, the more hell you're bringin' on yourself.'
He spoke mentally to Scias', the anger clearly present on his face and in his tone.

'X.. I had nothing to do with this. Believe me. Please.'
He buried his head in his hands and slumped to the floor as he felt the mental broadcast cut out. X had hung up the line on him, not wanting or having the time to hear any other explaination from him.

She followed X, grimacing. This is what I get for trusting people. She folded her white feathered wings closer to her body. Experiments! I can't believe it. They came back just to make me an experiment again. I would be better off in the woods with no communication, running water, food, and shelter than trusting Zethrin. If she tries to win my trust again, I won't fall for it as easily.

Two men chased after X, both aiming to capture Corasi and Basil. Thanks to the information passed to these men by zeth, they knew the capabilities and weaknesses of the darazi. The two goons in the front were a mere distraction. The leader shot an EMP straight at X

So this was why Zeth surrendered herself so long ago, as a spy, feeding all of the info she got straight to Umbra's little minions.


Zeth*

She had a bit of blood trickling into her eye from her head hitting the door. She figured the best way to help was to somehow get that EMP. She was a bit dizzy, but able to stand and fight. She jumped onto the back of the tallest one, the leader, and tried to choke him out, but ended up getting slammed to the floor again. She had left her weapons on the other side of the room with her armor. She was to small to take any of them by force. She was...defenseless



Basil*

A squeak erupted from her when the EMP fired. She had her eyes shut tight, but prayed that X was alright.

She turned around looking at the two men who wanted to capture Basil and herself. Npt today. Not ever again. she threw something into their path, blocking the men. She couldn't go into hand-to-hand combat right now. But if she had too, she would.

Hexic wasn't paying too much attention, like usual, but he knew there were new people and he knew he didn't like new people, so he tried to stay away from them. Hopefully they thought he was just a cat, and if they didn't, he knew how to transform into a spider. So, he would just do that.

(whelp, I think that's the first time X has actually gotten killed in any rp ever. Congrats, you've actually done the 'impossible.'
People have been trying for 8 years, at least.)

X dropped to the floor, sputtering from the direct hit. His armor only blocked enough of it to give him a few extra seconds of life to mutter out something before he collapsed completely. "On.. the left. It's.. unlocked.. Go..od luck." His form had disintegrated into a black oozing puddle with a red core that flickered with electricity momentarily before growing dark.

Scias
Scias was shaken at this and made no move to help the others, lest he suffer the same fate. He moved to help Zeth instead, trying to keep her safe.

(Gods, is that really an accomplishment? Can't tell what fandom I'm part of at all...)

She nodded. "Basil we have to go. I'll keep you safe." She ran to the unlocked door and headed outside. "Where to hide..?"

(Killing OCs is a fandom? Eh, screw it, I'll take it. But yeah I was actually getting a lot of crap from past rp partners that didn't know how to kill X when it was literally just "dude hit his heart he'll die easily. It's been sort of a joke to me now that he couldn't die, but the curse is lifted)

Basil*

She grabbed Corasi's hand and started to run for it. Just like X said, there was an exit. It was hard to see past her tears, but she managed. "We can make it!" Basil shouted encouragingly, letting go of Corasi and kept running. She knew a few twists and turns that might through the men off. Before she coud get to far, she realized there were more of the men then they thought


Zeth*

She kicked Scias away. "Get outta h-here." Zeth barely managed to get it out as a whisper. She had been slammed pretty hard, causing her to cough up a bit of blood. "Damnit Scias, go..."
