Kai holds still for the most part only yelping or growling if Kaladin got her skin.

Kaladin made sure not to make that mistake more than twice, though he couldn't speak for the fur itself. He looked positively confounded throughout the entire process, and it was clear to almost all onlookers that he had no idea what he was doing.

Yannis holds back a laugh as Kaladin trims Kai's fur.

Kaladin let out a short, concerned groan after a while. I think.... that's the best I'm going to do. He figured.

Kai looks back at him, Are you finished yet?

Kai gets up, goes over the water in the bowl and looks at her reflection. With a startled yelp she jumps back seeing her fur in clumps and poorly cut.
Turning around Kai looks at Kaladin with her eyes abalze with rage, Your turn to get trimmed.

Kaladin raised his quills (I mean, good luck cutting those, you'd need a nail clipper XD) and edged back. He was normally concerned but now he looked outright scared, too unerved to even mumble out the usual string of appoligies.

(Not if you plucked them right?)

Kai runs towards Kaladin trying to pluck out a few random quills making them look as messy as possible.

(I would assume Kai would get a mouth full of prickles, but I also assume she wouldn't care in the moment.)

Kaladin, finding himself low on any other options, fled.
