The air is cool around them, and very still. The grass is long and is a deep shade of chocolate brown, with some patches of russet blades here and there. There's small patches of some sort of fluffy material he's never seen before, downy like a recently hatched bird, but white and gleaming in the sun. There's gradually more of it on the ground as they continue forward, though the temperature doesn't get any colder.

He just mostly focused on staying warm.

Though humans wouldn't be inventing ways to tell temperature for another 1,100 years, if they did they'd say it's 50F outside. Which really isn't that bad, but he's from a place that averages 120.
