Knuckles silently prowled the streets, dark eyes narrowed in focus. He was close; that cautioning tug, felt stronger than it had before. He eventually found himself in the park, and while red fur was less than ideal for camoflague, the echidna had the foresight to stick to the shadows, avoiding the illumination of streetlamps, prefering not to be seen. His vision was better in the dark anyway.

She dragged herself out of bed, into the kitchen, and made herself a microwave dinner

Tigerstripes made his way back the the junkyard. He began stacking the random junk into patterns for a serviceable obstacle course. He viewed his work with satisfaction and considered adding a few traps to test his reflexes. He decided it might be better if he waited until Rune came with him. Knowing where the traps were kinda made the point moot. Finally satisfied with his course he made his way to a random starting point and got ready to make his run.

Knuckles slowed to halt in an abandoned parking lot not too far from the town's scrapyard, gazing around in anticipation. He knew he was close, but he couldn't quite zero in on the source of that disturbance... He began to wander the area again, eyes narrowed in focus.

Tigerstripes started his run randomly changing direction and route through the maze of obstacles he had created. Each lap he used just a little more speed being careful to not overuse his energy.

Knuckles bolted to attention as his internal red flags were raised. There! Without any more delay, he swiftly and silently made his way over to the scrap yard and the source of the disturbance. Once there, he immidiately sought cover in the shadows before resuming his search. It didn't take him long, since it wad hard to miss a person doing laps at this hour. Deciding to stay out of sight for now, he lay low in silent observation.

Tigerstripes whipped around a curve building to top speed. Up a head were a number of hurdles he had set up. He alternated between over and under before a mighty leap through a large tire perched on a pile a junk he finished his last lap before stopping on a dime his paws right on the line. He grinned to himself he had not even made a cloud of dust with how lightly he had placed his paws. Control had always been a big part of his agility training. He stretched his back purring in satisfaction. The day had not been the best with boring stakeouts, but the night had turned out to be pretty good after all. He had found another Neko watched some of the local heroes, annoyed a local villain, and had a pretty good work out. A quiet walk to the Subway to change forms and a quiet Subway ride home. He was just about ready to set out when his ears caught a slight sound. He swiveled his ears to better locate what he had heard.

Knuckles shot a glare at the traitorus tin can (He didn't even touch the thing!). He silently sluck back further into the shadows, rasing his quills in defense in case things went south. This cat, while he appeared unarmmed, looked more than capable in the physical sense. If he put that ability to work, Knuckles figured he'd have a bit of an issue on his hands.

That, and his senses were going haywire as he'd spectated the cat's run. This person was what he'd been looking for.
