"Vince, just like my grandfather. So, do you have a strong connection with your family? It's alright if you don't answer that."

Percy nodded when he was requested to stand outside the door. He took his post and leaned against the door jam. He didn't look like a very serious guard. Though he looked at Vince with distaste. "He called me Pops. I ain't no Pops."

Vince gave the detective a halfhearted laugh, the kind that portrayed a sort of resigned, almost ironic sense of sadness.
"No clue who my old man is. My mother... well... you ever heard the name Madeline Finch?"

The name finch would ring a bell for almost anyone in this town. They were an affluent family of high society type people. Lots of money, lots of rules, lots of enemies.

Percy had been listening in and he jumped when he heard the name of the crooks mother. "There ain't no way she's your mama. She is high and mighty and rich. You don't look like one of them rich aristocats."

Vince scowled at the officer standing in the doorway. "Yeah well, she weren't high and mighty or nothing once they kicked her out now was she?"

Percy's whiskers twitched as he glared at Vince. "I don't need ya to be snarky. I'm one the simple folk, though I do work on them fancy computers. The way rich folk see organized is a mystery to me. How's she get thrown out?"

Vince shot detective Ramsey a look as if to ask whether or not he should answer the question. After all this other officer wasn't the one questioning him.

"The reports don't say Percy." Oliver asked half heartedly. Really this was the last thing he wanted to be doing with his time. He felt horrible but instead of sleep he was getting it was an interrogation. "And yes I have read her file many times when it first came in. I'm deeply sorry we have been unable to find her, though we are still looking." The tom grew silent for a moment before continuing. "So what can you tell me of the group, Black Cats?"

(out of curiousity: when will svet interrogate someone?)

Vince sighed heavily and leaned back in his chair. "You know... I've been at this ten years and I still cant tell you much. Well... except that... they're connected to the Finch family, and that they've been around for quite some time possibly over a hundred years, but that it's only within the last five years or so that they've gone by that name."

Vince glanced around at the two officers before continuing.
"They're some sort of high society group that uses their money and influence to control the underworld in this region. I'm sure everyone has their own agenda but, I honestly don't know what their motives or beliefs are..."
He paused for a moment to ponder his next words.
"This last part is purely speculation but... I think that there's a new leader, and that the old leader was... well, eliminated by the new one. It must've been done quietly so us low rankers wouldn't notice the shift. It probably happened between five and ten years ago."
