Rina looked at Alala with stars in her eyes, "Really?" She squeaked. She had never ridden on another sylesti before. Not that she would be dumb enough to ask. In her old town, just the thought riding on another Sylesti was considered to be extremely rude. Rina hopped onto Alala's back, filled with excitement. As they took off through the window, Rina held on tight, but not too tight in case she hurt Alala. At first she was worried she might fall, but after a minute the height didn't bother her at all.
Rina's ears flapped in the wind, as they soared above the buildings. She even threw her front paws in the air for a moment. And boy was it an amazing moment. It wasn't long before Alala landed in front of a building. However, Rina was too amazed by the flight to notice. She really wanted to fly again, but was too polite to ask.

(Okay, so before anything else happens, here's the deal on carnivore sylestis like lupora. Hundreds of years ago, they ate other sylesti but it became illegal. Now they only eat fish and farm animals like pigs and cows, and use their hunting instincts in fights and tracking. Also, they don't use utensils, just plates and bowls, cos, y'know, they're animals.)
Alala looked behind her at the starstruck look on Rina's eyes, and chuckled a bit. "You really liked that, huh? Good, because we'll be doing it again on the way back." The sign above the door in the restaurant said, "Chef Homey." She held open the door for the little Ryori and as they walked inside, a waiter qitari ushered them to a booth. The interior wasn't overly fancy, but it was quite nice. The room was small, with the counter in the front and a kitchen in the back. The brick wall, wooden floors, patterned tables, and red booths gave the place a warm feeling.
"Thank you for choosing Chef Homey for your meal tonight," the qitari said as he returned a few seconds later. The saddle on his back was for holding trays of food, and tilting his back a little, two bowls of cool complimentary water slid onto the table without spilling a drop. "Your menus are in the condiments basket at the end of the table; I'll be back in a few moments to take your orders!" He said cheerfully before trotting off.

Fluffers looked around the house. It was very cozy. She saw a small chair, and tried to sit in it, but she faded through. Jumping with confusion and surprise Fluffers stared at the chair. What just happened? There was only one way to find out. Fluffers approached the chair again, and placed a paw on it, but again it went through. She looked at her paw in confusion. Was it just the chair? She saw a coffee table, and placed her paw on it. With the same result, Fluffers though that maybe this came with being transparent. Suddenly something clicked. The flying, the transparency, and being able to phase through things. Could... could it be?
Fluffers turned around and called to her brother. "What is it?" Thorn asked her. She didn't say anything for a bit.. then whispered, "We can't go back to how we were before."
"What?" Thorn asked, "Of course we can! We just need to find out why we changed."
"No..." Fluffers continued, and a quiet voice, "We're ghosts, Thorn."
Thorn crossed his arms, "You're joking. Ghosts don't exist"
Fluffers looked Thorn in the eyes, and shouted, "Do I LOOK like I'm joking? Thorn, YOU DIED! I remember, you were SICK and you DIED!" Fluffer's eyes were distressed, and Thorn was simply shocked. A few tears fell from Fluffers eyes, and she continued more quietly, "I died too... we're both dead."
After a minute of silence, Thorn shouted, "NO! I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!" but it was all coming back to him... the sickness, the pain...
"JUST LOOK FOR YOURSELF!" Fluffers cried. She grabbed her brother's arm and pulled him through the table, "WE JUST WENT THROUGH A TABLE, THORN! DO YOU BELIEVE ME NOW!?"
Thorn felt like the world was taken away from him. He pulled back from his sister, and whispered to himself, "No... it-it can't be true..." but as he looked at his transparent paws he knew... it had to be true. He wouldn't accept it! He wasn't dead... at least he wasn't going to stay that way! He was going make things the way they used to be! No matter what it took...
Fluffers looked at her brother, and for the first time she noticed his vibrant red eyes.

As Necronym paced back and forth in his apartment, he grew bored from not having anything to fight. Muttering to himself, "I know it's a good thing that nothing attacks here, but then why do I want to fight so much? Is it because I'm not used to not fighting?" he decided it would be best to get something to eat, or just take a walk. A few minutes later, he was walking down the busy main street of Serkilk, casually walking and looking at everything that was going on.
The Luffox siblings had gone out into the town, and were currently walking down one of the less busy roads, looking for anything that seemed interesting. It wasn't long before Vilas said, "It's a good thing I brought some of the money I packed! Otherwise we wouldn't be able to buy anything." Zerial nodded to her, too interested in the buildings to say anything.

Rina took the menu and pretended to look through it. She peeked at Alala, who was also looking at the menu. She looked back at the menu. She wasn't sure what to choose. At her old town there was just bread and the occasional piece of meat. Rina kept looking through, but only saw fancy titles that she didn't understand.
"Um..." She said quietly, looking at Alala "I'll just have whatever you have." and slid the menu back by the condiments.

Alala shot a grin at Rina. "Well, I hope you like rice and chicken, then, because that's what I'm getting." She folded her menu and placed it back by the condiment rack. She lapped up some water from her bowl before looking at Rina and asking, "So, do you wanna hear about how you'll become a guard? There's a special training program for hatchlings like you, but nobody wanted to enter their children into the program, so you're the first. It's called Guards of Tomorrow, or G.O.T. for short." Her green eyes brightened with hope as she wondered if Rina's entry would perhaps spark a few more children to be able to join.

Rina wagged her tail, "Yes please!" Her ears perked up ready to listen. She was ready to start learning, even if she was the only one.
The two siblings stood in an awkward silence for a few moments.
"What now?" Fluffers whispered. More silence.
"Well," said Thorn, "We can't stick around here."
"Why not?" Asked Fluffers
"Because we're not going to learn anything here! If we are ghosts, then we have to find out how to become alive again!" Thorn started to the door.
Fluffers paused for a moment. Now that she thought of it, she didn't care that she was a ghost. She was just happy to have her brother back, but she didn't want to start another argument so she followed Thorn out the door.

Alala wagged her tail and began to explain the schedule...As leader of the guard, it fell to her to manage and teach most of the classes, which could be accompanied or substituted by other guards depending on what they were learning that day. The G.O.T. student's day started 6:30 A.M. sharp and began with stretches and physical training. 8:30 was breakfast. Then each student accompanied an adult guard on their patrols around the settlement or surrounding woods from 9:15 to 11:30. Since Rina was the only student, Alala would always take her on patrols. When they returned, there was free time until 1:00. Then there were educational classes until 3:30, physical training for an hour, and then classes for two more hours. The day ended at 6:30, and students would either have free time the rest of the day or help on a nightly patrol.
(sorry for the boring paragraph :<)

(I'm running out of ideas for Rina, so I won't post with her for a bit)
Fluffers quietly followed Thorn through the forest, staring at the ground. She wasn't sure what to do next, but one thing was for sure... she was NOT going to lose him again. As they walked, Fluffers thought about how they would be happy again, they could play together and everything would like it was.
Except... better.
