A'ine felt awful but wasn't going to let it on. She followed Orion out the door to make sure Ember was okay. She had been so busy with Jora that she had basically ignored Ember.

Alderic nodded and followed anyway when he noticed he was the only one left in the hall.

A'ine tried feeling for Jora's mind. She felt how weak Jora was. The fire must have taken a lot out of her... She thought to herself hoping no one would ask her what had happened. She felt bad for invading Jora's mind like that to begin with.

"Jora?"Ember asked, supporting Jora as best as she could. She didn't walk, or try to move, she just stood there. "Jora, are you alright?" she asked.

Orion opened the door, and saw Ember and Jora some distance away. He ran over to them. "Are you guys alright?" he asked, rushing over to help support Jora.

A'ine came out and saw them. "Jora's fine. She just needs to rest a little. Just put her down for a bit." She walked over to Ember and put her hand on her shoulder. 'Are you Okay?' She sent not wanting to tell the other's what happened to either girl without permission.

Alderic came out the door still carrying everything.

Jora's sleeves were singed a little at the edges and her skin was a little warmer then normal to the touch.

Other than these stupid shadows, I'm fine. How about you? She sent, hoping nobody would ask about the shadows. She shot a grateful glance at A"ine.

Orion set Jora gently on the ground. He sighed with relief, glad that no one looked seriously injured. Just really exhausted. How was A'ine able to talk to me like that? He wondered. He glanced toward her, wanting to ask, but he decided against it. Afterall, he wasn't sure if the others knew.

A'ine wished she could help her friend more. She heard Orion and turned to him. "It's an ability of mine." She started blushing and looked away. "You didn't say that out loud did you?" She looked Ember in the eye. 'I'm okay. I just took leaps and bounds though... I've never done anything like that..' She sent knowing she must have really been tried if she had heard Orion. She always worked to keep to herself when she could.

Alderic put down Orion's and Jora's things. He notice Jora's sleeves and wondered if they had been like that the whole time. "What in the world was that?" He asked hoping someone would answer.

Ember nodded. Good. I'm just glad no one got seriously hurt. She surveyed the scene. Orion and Alderic looked completely unscathed, but Jora and A'ine had fared worse. Ember was still trying to make the shadows disappear.

Orion turned to A'ine. How do we, and should we explain it?

A'ine was done talking with her mind. She needed a break but she wasn't going to abandon her friend. She pushed at the shadows around Ember's eyes hoping she was helping. "Like this." She said to Orion then turned to Alderic. "Jora's special and isn't ready to face that. And I'm special in a different way, just please don't tell anyone." She really hadn't wanted anyone else to know but it couldn't be helped now.

Alderic nodded slowly. "Okay... I guess that makes sense." He rubbed the back of his neck and looked down at Jora's sketchbook. He saw some red marks around the edges of the pages. "So all of this is basically my fault..." He said sitting down.

Ember looked gratefully at A'ine. She was able to push th rest of the shadows away, relieved.

Orion shook his head. "No, it's not your fault at all. Trust me. It wasn't you who triggered that. It was those stop pod kids," he said, mumbling the last part under his breath. He looked worriedly at Jora.

A'ine pulled slowly out of Ember's mind and took a deep breath glad to have only her thoughts to worry about. She looked at Orion. "She's fine. Just a little spent." She looked down at Jora glad she had a friend like Orion. A'ine knew what some of what happened to Jora felt like. It had happened to her. She wondered if she would have ended up like Jora if she didn't have A'eda'n.

Alderic picked up the book and shook it out a little. "No, it's still my fault. Plus I probably ruined half her drawings..." He sighed as some of the punch landed on the grass.

Ember could also relate to Jora. Not really because of personal experience though. Ember looked at A'ine, wondering what she was thinking. She turned to look at Orion and Alderic. It was a bit easier to see the general idea of what they were thinking. She saw the ruined sketch book and wondered if she anyone could fix it.

Orion looked at the sketchbook. He didn't know how to fix it. He didn't know how to reassure Alderic. Although what he said was true, it wasn't like he did it on purpose. He hadn't meant to, so he shouldn't have to feel so guilty.

(I just got an idea for Ember, but I wanted to make sure you're okay with it. I was wondering she could feel the emotions of other monsters with power of shadows, and thats why she gets scared so often. Kind of a little late to throw it in, but ....)
