"I'll make fried potatoes!!!" your mom shouted from another room.

The phone rang and your dad went to pick it up, "Your friend says she'll be here in about an hour to pick you up for the carnival?" your dad turned to look at you. Then he smiled, "Better get dinner done before you leave then!" your mom came rushing in and they began working on making dinner.

And I know the carnival is expensive so here's a 50." she handed a wad of cash over, "It might be more I didn't really count." she added with a small laugh. Your dad looked at her like she was crazy but continued cooking anyway.

"Okay... Well that's up to you I guess." she left the stove for a couple seconds to find the oranges and the juicer. She then handed you a knife to split the oranges, "I'm trusting you with a weapon. Don't break my trust." she said in a joking way, "but actually be careful with that thing I don't want you getting hurt." she gave you a concerned look as she walked back to the stove.

By the time you finished, the potatoes were ready and the steak would be done in about 5 minites, "Want some help adding sugar and ice to the juce?" your mom asked as she took the plates of potatoes towards your dad so he could put the steaks on when he was done.
