Ajal did as he was told.

Knuckles narrowed his eyes and dashed out of the station and onto the street.

Ajal held on as tightly as he could; he hated going this fast.

Knuckles noticed the look and huffed. "I don't like it either, but I am not letting Hagin get away again." He informed him. "We're almost there, anyway."

"I fully agree with both those statements," Ajal spoke.

As soon as Hagin saw Knuckles run away he slipped out of the back of the subway train and went in a different direction.

(Oh. He could've stayed on the train.)

It was smooth sailing...
...until Knuckles ran into the ticket gate at the station.

"What do you mean?! We're chasing down a serial killer!"
"Look, Mr.... What are you, anyway? Some kind of prickly anteater?"
"Whatever, sure. Look, I don't want to board the train. I just want to get to the platform."
"Sorry sir. Can't without a ticket."

Ajal used a trick of pickpocketing and blending into the crowd. He searched the platform.
Quickly coming back, "He wasn't there and you dropped this." He held up the gatekeeper's keys.

(It's Hagin he has a bag of tricks.)

How? Knuckles mouthed.
"Er... thanks, Mr. Wolf...?" The gatekeeper said as he cautiously took the keys, slightly creeped out.

Night walks up to them.
"He slipped out the door when we left most likely," Night acted like a secret agent, "gatekeeper if you ever see this wolf contact the police or G.U.N. immetaitly he is a known serial killer." Night handed him a poster with Hagin's picture.
About time, Ajal mouthed.

The gatekeeper picked up his walkie-talkie. "Phil? Think you could take over the rest of my shift? I think my lack of sleep is catching up with me..."
"Naw, no way man! You only got another hour left. Suck it up."

"So... backtrack?" Knuckles suggested.
