Kaladin tilted his head slightly. "What kind of seeds are these?" He asked.

"Purple connyflower, and many other seeds from the plants you helped me grow,'' Douglas replies sitting down. Lynne and Kai go to Douglas sniffing worriedly at him.

Kaladin neatly put the jars away and was about to thank Douglas again when he noticed the dogs' behavior. "...Are.. you alright?" He asked instead.

Douglas spoke simply, "I'm fine Kaladin.''
It's his eyes again, Kai whines worriedly.
"Hush Kai don't ruin the molment because of me.''

Kaladin sighed and sat down next to him. "I'd rather you not lie for my sake." He simply remarked. "Besides, this doesn't really ruin things as much as you think."

"Alright then I'm having another episode of dark spots,'' Douglas answers, "they've become more frequent but I don't want to worry you more then you already are.''
Kai puts her head in Kaladin's lap.

Kaladin grimmaced. "I figured as much." He replied simply, gently stroking Kai's fur.

Douglas frowns, "I just comes with age."
Kai stays with Kaladin trying to comfort him.

Kaladin nodded once. "I know."

"If you get the chance come visit," Douglas tries to change the subject, "and go through the books we copied. I know they aren't all finished but I think there are some that you will need." Douglas gets up and grabs his walking stick which Kai eyes wearily. With it he goes over to the stone, moving it aside he gets the chest out and gets a small medalion out of the chest, "Selkie told me you were planning on going around the world." He hands the medallion to Kaladin. It was golden with a horse's head on it, "If you ever go to the desert find the tribe of that was led by Roan and show the leader this medalion. Remember me when you go there."
