Electa started unpacking the boxes, tidying up the cabin, trying not to cry.

Alister took a very long walk in the forest.. and he happened upon a patch of wild roses. For some reason, he didn't know why, he picked some and decided to take them back for Electra.

She finished soon, and sat on the bed, wondering what to do about Alister. He seemed more cruel, more angel-like, and just not himself...

Alister returned about 30 minutes later, a bundle of freshly cut roses in his hand.. Some sparks of emotion had returned to his eyes, but he clearly wasn't feeling correctly.. His hand had blood streaming down it from holding the roses too hard.

She quickly stood and rushe over to where he was standing. "Are you all right?" she asked, prying the roses from his hands. "Go sit on the bed and I'll get the bandages and disinfectant." She gently set the roses on the table, wondering why he had brought them to her. Not that she wasn't grateful or anything, just the way he'd been acting didn't really have him bringing roses to her.

Alister had hardly noticed the blood seeping from his wounded hand, and when he did notice it he was barely surprised. " Oh.. I didn't see that. " He said, sitting on the edge of the bed. He didn't see what the big deal was.. mostly due to most all his emotions being numb.

She went over to him, kneeling in front of him so she could dress his hands. "Why were you holding the roses so tightly?" She asked, first wiping the blood from his hands

Alister looked confused, " I wasn't holding it that tightly.. I was just holding them. I didn't think I was holding them so tightly. "

"Well, you obviously were, because you're bleeding."

" It doesn't feel like I am bleeding.. " He said, looking at his hand as Electra healed it. He didn't get why it mattered though usually he would understand.
