Bella finally glanced over at him, seeming sort of calm now.

he was staring at the ground, so didn't notice.

"Hey," She finally said, though she looked a bit nervous, "Why did you do it?"

He looked at her, no longer happy. "do what? If you mean****** you ..." he looked away, guilt clear. "I have an abusive uncle, i ... I needed it..."

"Needed it," She echoed, looking angry, "Do you think I needed it?! Do you think I need another thing to be scared of? I already have nightmares to deal with! And the fact that everyone is after me just because I'm a rare species of witches! You needed nothing!"

He put his arms over his head, legs pulled to his chest.

She sighed, "Sorry," She said looking away, "I don't understand why you needed to do that to me."

He was shaking now, jaw clenched. He wasn't upset with her, he was upset with himself and his uncle.
"M... my mother died when I was three, my dad left and my uncle took care of me. once I turned eight he began to act different, and ... things went down hill. I know my life must not be as bad as yours, heck it might seem good compared. I'm just a pero(Spanish), and I've cut down on what I eat because of how little often my uncle gives me. She nodded, understanding, "No one should go through that, I understand that. I'm not here to tell you how bad my life is. I'm only telling you that you messed up and that..." Tears came to her eyes, for reasons she wouldn't explain as she changed the topic, "Sometimes, I can't help to be afraid."

"I understand being afraid. I am all the time." He looked at her with tears in his own blue eyes.
