(Well, Knuckles never dozed off in an ice level, so I guess he's okay.)

Knuckles eyed Prince warily, trying to find an opening. He charged at his opponent as fast as he could once he thought he spotted one.

Knuckles tried to evade Prince, but he had already comitted to the charge. So, he took a desperate long-shot and decided to counter with a Spiral Upper. Hopefully, the heat would cancel out the cold.

The heat canceled out most of the cold but not the blade itself which was solid steel.
