Macy looked at you like you were crazy but decided it was best not to ask any questions. By the time school ended you had listened to Macy talk about the carnival at least a thousand times.

As you were walking out of the classroom your head was turned towards Macy and you ran right into someone's back, "Sorry!" the person shouted as he turned. You were lucky because it was Samuel. Macy looked at you and smiled while raising an eyebrow.

"So about the carnival!" Macy shouted loudly.

"You two are going to the carnival too?" Samuel asked.

"That symbol... it shows up somewhere in this mansion every year. It's almost like an annual thing. Every year someone touches it and the same thing happens. It tangles itself around their body then disappears but nothing special really happens to that person. We're not really sure what it is or what it does yet." he never looked away from the mark as he told the story.

``Weird.`` She breathed.

"So it showed up in your room this year?" he finally looked away from the symbol as he turned his gaze on you. He seemed to be searching you eyes for answers.

Oh, hey Kayden! I said, getting back up again.

``Yea, I was gonna draw and saw it on the paper.`` She told him, locking her gaze with his.

"Wow! Your not even gonna ask us how we found you?" Zack asked surprised.

He slightly frowned, "...but there was no paper in your room..." he mumbled still staring at you.

I yawned.

Oh? Oh yeah, how did you find me?

"Sniff test!" Kayden shouted out of nowhere. Zack gave him a confused look but seemed to understand after a minute or so.

Zack turned to you, "What Kayden means is he turned into a dog and sniffed you out." he explained.
