The spear slides off of the serpent scales, and its tail lashes around to hit IvyCat in the leg. It leaves behind a nasty gash.

Kate dashed in front of Ivy her spear still in hand remembering her recent battle " We are going to need to attack from more than just one angle... you know anything else about this magic stuff before I suggest a crazy Idea?" she asked looking over her shoulder at Ivy and Tori. She jumped up and threw the spear into it's mouth, she knew she can collect it later if it dies, and backed off, letting Kate do the rest.

As the serpet flails, trying to get Lupus off, it is successful. He flies across the sky, and lands in a heap several yards away. I immeadetly rush to him. It has only knocked him unconscious

Yes. That's certainly troublesome. We might not even make it in and back through the Garden alive. This recent increase in monsters is suspicious though.
