"But if you got killed, I would never see you again," She whispered, now holding D at arm's length, her hands on D's shoulders. "I'm not sure what would happen if I never got to see you again."

D's golden eyes sparkled. "Kate....care?" She sounded as if in awe and shock.

"Yes, of course I care! How could I not?" She felt bad for the creature, but that wasn't the only reason she cared.

She smiled and her tail wagged,her fangs glistening a bit. She bounced slightly as her blond hair bounced happily around her sharp black horns.

Kate smiled, a little confused as to why D was so happy...They were in a life-threatening situation, and Kate couldn't seem to stop worrying about one thing or another

"Oh....D see something." She said,seeming to have gained back her train of thought. Her body stopped the happy motions,some blond hair dangling in her golden eyes a bit.

"What? It's not anything bad, is it?" Kate asked, her heart just about stopping. She brushed D's hair out of her face so she could look into her eyes.

"Yucky....stinky green bunny and stinky golden bear but nothing bad." She said,blushing softly a lavender blush of how Kate brushed away the hair.

"Was that where the breathing was coming from? Do you know?" Kate asked, staring into D's eyes. She might have been gazing into them if the situation was different.

"Green bunny...seem like had moved...recently. But gold bear seem in same spot for long while." D tried to explain. The bear had had dust all over it,think and musty,but the bunny hadn't. It had looked as if it had moved soon before but...it looked like no one had grabbed it and moved it...as if it had moved on it's own.
