Alec was a bit alarmed that he pulled him in so quickly for the kiss. The elf then found the kiss a bit thrilling and kissed back. When they pulled apart, Alec found himself clearing his throat, feeling awkward suddenly. "I am, actually," he said.

"Good! They have big portions here!" Gale said with his cheeks flushed. With that he opened the door for him. "After you!"

Alec thanked him and quickly entered the restaurant. He took a deep breath of all the delicious scents. "Where do you want to sit?" He asked.

"Bar, in the middle. I'm a regular." Gale smiled as he sat down as a cup of coffee was set down in front of him. "See?"

Alec went where Gale told him to go and took a seat on one of the stools. He looked over at the cup of coffee set down in front of the other. "So I see. Isn't it a bit late in the day for coffee? I mean, it's not exactly nighttime, but it's not exactly morning either."

"Nah you can drink coffee anytime." Gale said picking the cup up and taking a sip. "So know what you want to order?"

Alec looked around the restaurant before looking back at Gale. "Well, yes, I suppose you can drink it whenever." He thought about what he wanted to eat. "I'll eat one of these burgers you speak so highly of."

"Got it!" Glae said happily as he turned to the older lady behind the counter. "Well if it isn't Betty! I haven't seen you in ages doll, how have you been? Is your back still hurting you?"
"Oh Gale you sure know how to flatter a woman you know." The silver haired woman said as she approached them. "I can't say I can't complain but life's been a bit easier on my lately." She smiled before looking to Alec. "And who do you have here? Another friend?"
"No Ms. Betty, just a coworker. Repaying him for letting me stay at his place. Alec this is Betty, Betty this is Alec."
"Its a pleasure to meet you Alec, I'm glad to see Gale has a sweet friend to invite over. Now what can I get you?"

Alec watched the exchange between Gale and Betty with mild interest. But now his mind was fully.on his growling stomach. Alec gave a little wave when introduced and smiled shyly. He thought about her question and found himself shrugging. "Could you make a recommendation?" He asked.

"Well the house salad and the club burger are my favorites. Gale always orders the chicken and waffles." The woman smiled.
